Hello,
My name is Eden,
And I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
Wherever you are,
Just finding comfort in your physical body.
Just 5% more.
Offering something to yourself right now,
To get a little more comfy.
And then just seeing too,
If you can offer your mind the same little bit of relaxation,
Maybe just releasing the grip on the mind,
On the thoughts.
Just a little bit more.
Beginning to distance yourself from your thoughts.
Starting to be the one who just watches them flow in and out.
Watching the sensations,
The emotions,
The visuals,
The memories as they move through you.
Without holding tightly,
Just noticing what comes up.
And today we invite in a meditation on change.
On change.
We know logically that change is constant.
And many of us are lucky enough to have a fair amount of steadiness in our lives that can allow for us to forget about change and that it is on the horizon.
So there is an invitation here to find our own steadiness amidst the change.
But also to find change within our own steadiness.
Letting this be a two-way street,
A yin and yang,
Ebb and flow,
The light in the dark,
The dark in the light.
So that when change,
Overt change,
Does come,
We have a relationship with that steadiness already.
So just starting to notice your breath now.
And really letting yourself ride each wave of the breath.
Becoming so present with each breath.
No labeling,
No interpreting as that takes you out of the present tiny little moment with the breath.
But just riding that wave in and out.
The breath is our own embodiment of the steadiness in change and the change in steadiness.
Relaxing any little muscles in the face,
The neck,
The shoulders,
The belly that are tense and just continuing to watch the breath.
Familiarizing yourself with the steadiness and the change that exists within you in each moment.
When we allow ourselves to be really still,
When we offer ourselves moments of meditation.
Oftentimes,
We're met with noise and change and movement within our minds.
And that's okay.
That's okay.
That is your humanness being present.
Just noticing what comes up and gently letting it go.
Coming back to your breath,
Coming back to the steadiness and the change.
Deepening this relationship to yourself.
Getting to know the steadiness within you and the change.
It creates this strengthening of a thread within us.
Because of course,
Change,
Overt change,
Will happen in our lives.
And our work is to feel well-resourced within our own systems so that when change comes,
We feel a little more well-equipped to hold it.
To not avoid,
But to be present with it.
Because the more we fight with reality,
The more we lose.
And if we don't cultivate our own internal tools when we are well,
It will be so difficult to reach for them when we aren't.
So we reach for this cord of steadiness and change and find familiarity and trust within it.
Just through the breath in our bodies right now.
This microcosm of something that radiates further out into our lives.
Letting this moment,
This breath of steadiness and change be enough to forge this deepening relationship with self.
And knowing the breath is always here to support you in this and many other ways.
Thank you,
Breath.
Dependable,
Yet shifting.
Present,
Yet already gone.
The ebb,
The flow,
The ying in the yang.
We invite it all in to familiarize ourselves with change,
With steadiness,
Over and over again.
Taking a slow,
Deep breath down into the belly and a long,
Gentle,
Nourishing breath out.
Taking in as many of those as you'd like.
And gently,
In your own time,
Returning to the day,
Thanking yourself for being right here,
Right now,
With each breath.
Welcome back.
