Dr. Marci Burroughs, PhD, CST, is a licensed psychologist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist specializing in intimacy, desire, relationships, and sexual wellbeing. She has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a Licensed Psychologist in Tennessee and Florida. Dr. Burroughs has completed Gottman Level 3 Training and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment science, and evidence-based sex therapy in her clinical work and educational resources. With extensive experience working with individuals and couples, Dr. Burroughs has particular expertise in mismatched libidos, low sexual desire, communication, sexual shame, trauma, relationship dynamics and the way neurodivergence can influence intimacy and sexuality. Her work is affirming of LGBTQ+, consensually non-monogamous, polyamorous, and kink communities. Dr. Burroughs is co-host of the Midlife Mavens podcast, where she explores topics related to women’s wellbeing, relationships, and sexuality. Through her guided practices and educational content, she translates research into accessible reflections, mindfulness practices, and practical tools that encourage self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and deeper connection with one’s values and relationships.
