Hello and welcome to this Earth Connection meditation.
Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
And allow your body to settle.
Allow your eyes to softly close and invite you to take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale softly through the mouth.
You may want to repeat this.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose and exhale slowly through the mouth.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaws soften and let the weight of your body begin to settle into the earth beneath you.
Feel the gentle pull of gravity anchoring you,
Supporting you,
Holding you.
There is nothing you need to do right now,
Nowhere else to be.
Just this moment,
Just this breath.
Bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the ground.
Your feet,
Your legs,
Your seat,
Your hands.
Imagine roots beginning to grow from these points.
Soft glowing roots that extend deep into the earth.
With each breath out,
The roots travel deeper,
Reaching through layers of soil,
Stone and time.
With each breath in,
You draw up the earth's steady,
Nourishing energy.
Feel a gentle pulse of calm,
Strength and belonging.
And then breathe that energy into the body,
Into your feet,
Your toes,
Your legs,
Into the core of the body,
Into your heart,
Into the arms,
The hands,
The fingers and up into the neck,
The throat,
The face and the head.
Feel yourself becoming one with the rhythm of the earth.
Now imagine the earth beneath you glowing with a soft golden green light.
This is the energy of life itself.
Steady.
Timeless.
Abundant.
As you breathe,
Imagine this light rising through your roots.
Flowing into your body like a wave of warmth and peace.
Let it fill every cell,
Every corner of your being.
You might feel a gentle tingling,
A warmth or simply a beautiful sense of calm.
Know that this is the earth reminding you.
You are supported.
You belong here.
You are home.
As your body expands with this grounded energy,
Allow your heart to expand.
Feel it soft,
Open,
Radiant.
Imagine your breath flowing from your heart into the earth and from your earth back into your heart.
As you breathe out,
Imagine breathing out into the earth.
And as the earth breathes out,
She breathes into you.
A perfect circle of giving and receiving.
You may silently want to affirm at this point.
I am grounded.
I am supported.
I am connected to all that is.
I am grounded.
I am supported.

Take a few slow deep breaths here.
Feeling the exchange of energy between you and the living earth.
When you feel ready to return,
Allow your awareness to come back to your physical body.
The surface beneath you.
You might feel the touch of air on your skin or the weight of your clothes or blanket.
You may be able to hear the sound of your own breath and feel the rise and fall of your abdomen.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
And roll your shoulders if you are able.
Take one final deep breath in.
Drawing in all the strength,
The calm,
The clarity of the earth.
And as you exhale,
Let go of anything you no longer need.
When you are ready,
Softly,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
Grounded,
Calm and gently renewed.
Carry this sense of connection with you throughout your day.
Remembering that the earth's presence is always there beneath your feet.
Steady and stable.
