Explore MeditationCatherine Zehner, CYT, RYT Catherine began her adventure into the world of Yoga over 20+ years ago. Grateful for the many benefits of Yoga practice, she found a way to help herself with depression and anxiety, as well as additional support for ADHD challenges. She is also the mother of two adult children, her youngest son having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy that she is a full time caregiver for. The "tools" of Yoga and Mindfulness have been invaluable for her, to help with the daily challenges that being a parent and caregiver have to a child with a fatal illness. She received her 200 Hr. Yoga Teacher Training in 2004 and is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She has also been a student of various yoga and meditation teachers over the years. Amongst many trainings, most notable are those with interest in the therapy aspects of Yoga. Most recently she completed a Somatic Strength course with Mary Richards and Lizzie Lasater as she has new found interest in the benefic supportive practices of somatic strength, resistance, and stability training, and incorporating these modalities into her classes. In 2015 she attended a 3 day Transcendental Meditation (TM) course, which moved her to the path to Mindfulness Meditation and Mindfulness practices and completing the first phase of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course. Catherine will be offering Mindfulness Meditation, Yoga, and Yoga Nidra Classes.
