In order to embrace change, we must let go of what no longer serves us. This involves acknowledging our emotions, shifting our perspective, practicing mindfulness, and seeking support. This meditation and visualization may help to support your journey in letting go and embracing change.

Welcome,

Dear friend,

Thank you so much for joining me for this practice of embracing change.

This change could be a personal change for you,

Perhaps a change in job status or maybe a move to a new place,

Or perhaps you've lost a friendship or a relationship.

Whatever it may be,

I wish you so much peace on your path.

We can't always prevent change from happening,

But we can practice moving through it as best we can.

So during this time,

Give yourself kindness and compassion.

Let's begin.

So begin by finding a comfortable seated or lying down position with your eyes gently closed or a soft gaze at the earth.

Take some time to settle into your body.

Start by taking three deep breaths.

Begin by inhaling through your nose.

Hold for a moment at the top of your inhalation and then exhale slowly through your mouth.

Again,

Inhaling through your nose.

Hold for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth.

One more time,

Inhaling through your nose.

Holding for a moment and then exhaling through your mouth.

Let go of the day so far.

Let go of anything that came before this moment.

There is nowhere else to be but here.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest and belly.

Let this rhythm ground you.

Now bring your awareness to your body,

Starting at the top of your head and slowly scan down.

Notice your forehead.

Feeling the forehead relax,

Your jaw,

Your neck,

And softening any tension.

Breathe in to tightness.

Exhale,

Letting go.

Moving down to your shoulders,

Arms,

And hands.

And just letting them grow heavy,

Like heavy curtains,

Letting gravity take over.

Now down through your chest,

Your belly,

Your hips,

And releasing any holding here.

Just let yourself sink into the support beneath you.

Continue down your legs,

Knees,

Feet.

Let the whole body rest.

This is a moment of pause,

A moment of stillness.

Now bring your attention to your thoughts.

Observe them like clouds in the sky.

Notice your thoughts drifting in and drifting out.

No need to engage or resist.

Just notice.

Perhaps some thoughts are rooted in fear or resistance to change.

Others might be wrapped in nostalgia,

Clinging to the past.

Just notice what arises without judgment.

Let each thought pass like a wave on the ocean.

You are the sky.

The thoughts just weather.

Now imagine you are standing beside a gentle flowing river.

Watching the river move in front of you.

Watching how the water moves around,

Stones,

Plant life.

And imagine as though now you're looking down at your hands.

In your hands,

You hold a small bundle.

This bundle represents something you've been holding on to.

Perhaps a habit or a fear.

A memory.

Or an old version of yourself.

Feel the weight of this bundle and acknowledge it.

It's okay to feel uncertain.

Change is natural.

Growth is natural.

When you're ready,

See if you can imagine that you're gently placing the bundle into the river.

And then watch as the current carries it gently away.

You don't need to know where it goes.

Just trust in the letting go.

Breathe deeply.

Inhale,

I release.

Exhale,

I trust.

Again,

Breathing in deeply,

I release.

And exhale,

I trust.

Again,

Inhale,

I release.

Exhale,

I trust.

Now feel the space within you that has opened up.

Do you notice that space?

The space that letting go creates.

Let it be filled with something new.

A sense of curiosity.

A sense of possibility.

Change is not loss.

It is transformation.

Stay softly in your mind.

I allow change to shape me.

I let go of what no longer serves me.

I welcome what is coming.

Let these words wash over you.

I allow change to shape me.

I let go of what no longer serves me.

I welcome what is coming.

Now sit in stillness.

Let silence carry the wisdom.

If thoughts arise,

Gently return to your breath.

Inhale presence.

Exhale,

Surrender.

Inhaling presence.

And exhaling,

Surrendering to what is.

Just be here now.

You are not lost.

You are becoming.

Embracing all that will be coming for you.

Now bringing your awareness back into the room.

Starting to add some movement to your body.

By wiggling your fingers and toes.

Take a deep breath in.

And a long breath out.

If it feels right for you,

You can place your hands on your heart.

And thank yourself for showing up today.

For being brave enough to let go.

And for being open to change.

When you are ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Returning to the world softer,

Lighter and clearer.

And thank you for joining me today.

Wishing you peace and blessings on your path.
