Was du lernen wirst
We were all born with a beautiful breath that gave us almost an infinite amount of energy. Our entire body, every cell, breathed. Then, life happens and we adopt dysfunctional breathing habits. We forget what it's like to have an undistorted, unrestricted breath that supports us in whatever activity we are doing rather than works against us. In this mini course we learn about our magnificent breath, how it works and how it affects us on so many levels. We also practice self reflection and cultivate breath awareness in order to get to know our own breath and strengthen our relationship to it. Through that we get so many benefits on a physical, emotional, mental and potentially spiritual level.
Emil Nylander's passion for spreading the art of breathwork derives from the transformational impact it has had on him. Starting out in his living room following guided sessions he immediately noticed the potential it had. Years later, he is now certified as a breathwork, yoga, pranayama and meditation guide with a mission to share the power of...

Lektion 1
The Importance Of Reconnecting To The Breath
Why is it important to reconnect to our breath? How much does the way that we breathe impact our physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing? I go through the main benefits of my own breath reconnection in this intro.
Lektion 2
Inquiry: How The Breath Adapts To Our Movement
In this inquiry we will examine how our breath adapts to our movements. A natural, free-flowing breath is flexible and adapt to whatever we are doing. This inquiry is intended to help us cultivate breath awareness.
Lektion 3
Why We Breathe And Practicing Breath Awareness
In school we are being taught a variety of things and subjects. But do we know the basic question, why we breathe? With this session we are clarifying just that, why we breathe. We will also do five minutes of breath awareness.
Lektion 4
Where We Breathe
In this session we explore where we breathe, which our primary breathing muscles are, which our secondary breathing muscles are and why it is important to breathe using our main breathing muscles.
Lektion 5
Inquiry: Where Are We Breathing?
In this inquiry we are exploring, with curiosity and an open mind, where we are used to be breathing. We will feel different areas and investigate how much or little effort it requires from us to breathe into that space.
Lektion 6
The Characteristics Of A Natural, Free-Flowing Breath
How do we want to breathe? In this session we'll go through the eight characteristics of a natural, supportive breath that gives us energy and support rather than works against us.
Lektion 7
Inquiry: How Are We Breathing?
Let's further cultivate breath connection and strengthen our understanding of our breath with this inquiry. We will explore how we are breathing at this moment.
Lektion 8
The Nervous System, What Stress is And How To Self-Regulate
What is stress? How can we self-regulate? What is our autonomic nervous system and is the breath connected to it? This and more is what we talk about in this session.
Lektion 9
Inquiry: The Fastest Way To Get Stress Relief
We will learn about a quick way, the fastest way, according to Stanford University, to self regulate our stress levels. Doing this technique for five minutes gives us stress relief for 24 hours according to studies.
Lektion 10
Our Innate Gas And Brake Pedal
We all have an innate gas and brake pedal within us from the day that we are born until the day that we take our last breath. We will explore this gas and brake and learn a few techniques that will make use of this knowledge.
Lektion 11
The Importance Of Co2 Tolerance And How To Improve It
Why is Co2 so important for us and why do we want to be able to keep sufficient amount of Co2 inside our body? We will go through this topic in this session and also do an easy test that will help us understand how tolerant we are to Co2 right now and how we can improve it.

Emil’s class was very informative. I am a very shallow breather and need to retrain myself to breath more consciously. He taught some great exercises! Thank you
