Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Our theme today will be grounding.
Our exploration will be one that goes in to our center,
Into this place inside all of us where we can access stability,
Strength,
And focus.
Let's begin our meditation.
If your eyes are open I'd like to invite you to keep them open for one moment here.
Take a moment before we go inwards to take stock,
To notice everything around you.
Now each of us will find ourselves in a different room,
In a different environment,
But there are a lot of things in the world.
Things,
People,
Energies,
Distractions,
Blessings,
Opportunities for us to leave ourselves,
To lose ourselves,
And get caught up in our external worlds.
It's neither good or bad,
It just is.
And today,
If you are open to it,
We will allow it all just to be and practice together going inwards to our center.
What's it like here in the silence between songs?
If your eyes are still open let's close them now and see if anything changes for you.
For me personally,
Silence can be very loud,
Sometimes very emotional.
The invitation today,
Before we go inwards,
Is to really notice all the small and big things that attempt to pull your energy outwards.
Your thoughts,
Sensations in your bodies,
Your to-do list,
The noises,
The demands of your environment.
Maybe for you it's really simple to find that centered place,
That calm place inside you.
And doing this many times with many people,
I know there's a group of you where this silence is almost too overwhelming.
Just so you know,
My default is that second group of people too.
Now with our eyes closed,
Without music,
In a space where we are just allowing and noticing,
What happens when you start to take deeper breaths?
Let's take one together here.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your breath.
Continue holding and let it all go.
Did anything change?
Did any part of the experience change?
I have a very active mind.
Silence can be very challenging for me and sometimes it's exactly what I need.
It's not about perpetually finding calm in the silence.
It's like touching a rainbow,
Even a millisecond,
Even a taste,
Even a kiss can bless my life and impact my day deeply.
Now I'm going to reintroduce some music for us,
But before I do,
Let's practice together again,
Sitting in the silence,
Allowing,
Feeling,
And just noticing what's here for us.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Maybe that was easy for you and maybe that might be the most challenging thing you do all day.
Let's continue exploring together.
Let's continue going deeper into our centers,
Breathing into your heart space,
Deep breaths,
Breathing in,
Awakening our hearts,
Knocking on the door of our beloved,
Glorious heart space,
And out.
You can go slow,
You can go gentle,
And if you are open to it,
You can go deeper into your heart,
Into your center,
Than maybe ever before.
If it's available to you,
I'd like to invite you to continue taking deep breaths.
The deeper the breath,
The longer the hold,
The louder the exhale,
The further we go into our center.
What's at your center?
What's at the core?
When we strip away what society tells us to be,
What our jobs tell us to be,
When we let go of who we thought we were,
What remains?
If you go far enough into your center,
You will access a place of infinite grounding,
Of infinite calm and peace.
Can you feel it?
Even a millisecond of access to this place,
Even a glimpse,
Will permeate through your life,
Will bless your day.
From this place,
At the core,
We can charge our engines,
We can fuel our life in a sustainable,
Grounded,
Calming way.
You are safe here.
You are loved here.
And once again,
We find ourselves back to the silence.
What do you notice here now?
Maybe everything is exactly as it was,
And maybe something is different.
Where is your energy?
Where is your thinking?
Where are you right now?
There's no right or wrong answer.
Maybe you find yourself in your mind,
In your heart.
Maybe you find yourself outside of your body.
There is no right or wrong answer.
There are many beautiful reasons to feel lifted and feel an almost out-of-body experience.
And sometimes it can be really helpful to gently remind ourselves that we can come back to our center,
Invite ourselves back to our hearts.
I'm gonna stay quiet for the rest of this song and just let you have some freedom.
Where do you want to go?
Where do you want to explore?
If everything is available to you.
To bring our meditation practice to an end,
Let's take a deep breath together and come back to our bodies.
Breathing in and letting it go.
Wherever you went,
However deep you access your center,
However open or resistant you were to today's practice,
I'm grateful you and I made it to the end.
As always,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and allow us to do some private personal journaling and continue exploring our core,
Our center,
Our hearts,
And continue inviting all of our parts back home.
If you're catching this on a replay,
On inside timer perhaps,
Of course you could do the same.
Put some time on your own clock and see what's here and ready to be expressed through your journal,
Through your pen,
Through your pencil.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
