Welcome,

My name is Bethany,

And I'm glad you're here.

This experience is a guided practice for accessing,

Amplifying,

And anchoring the energy of pleasure.

While you find a quiet and comfortable place to lie back and relax,

Allowing your body to settle,

I'd like to say a few words about pleasure.

For a lot of us,

Pleasure is a vague concept.

We tend to think of pleasure as something that happens infrequently,

Is self-indulgent,

Or requires a specific set of circumstances.

We've even created a category for guilty pleasures.

In a world that is becoming more and more complex,

Cultivating a practice of pleasure may feel strange at first,

But you will very quickly discover just how powerful pleasure can be in creating flow and ease across every aspect of your life.

When we experience the sensation of pleasure,

Real,

Remembered,

Or even imagined,

Our brains release neurotransmitters,

Often referred to as the feel-good chemicals,

That support our overall well-being.

They promote relaxation,

Healing,

And support of a stronger immune system.

Pleasure and these neurotransmitters act as a counterbalance to the demands and pressures of day-to-day life.

They reduce stress and anxiety,

And support a greater capacity for emotional resilience.

As you cultivate this pleasure practice,

You will become more aware of and attuned to experiencing pleasure,

And then pleasure expands,

And your focus naturally shifts towards a mindset of abundance and fulfillment.

You feel good,

And then you feel good more and more consistently,

So more and more good shows up.

This powerful pleasure mindset is a catalyst for manifesting even more of what gives you pleasure.

And now,

As your body and conscious mind relax into this short but restorative rest,

It is my honor to gently guide you through this pleasure practice,

Accessing,

Amplifying,

And anchoring your unique,

Healing,

Creative power of pleasure,

Taking a deep,

Cleansing breath in,

And exhaling slowly,

Maybe noticing your shoulders drop just a little,

Maybe letting your hips sink a little deeper into the support beneath you,

The heavy muscles of the thighs relaxing,

Allowing your whole body to just let go,

And now just noticing your breath,

Listening to the sound of my voice,

Knowing that any other sounds you hear will simply ease you deeper into relaxation,

Inhaling nice and easy,

Feeling your belly expand easily,

And as you exhale,

Imagining a soothing wave of energy washing over you,

Starting at the top of your head,

Feeling that soothing energy moving across your scalp,

Feeling the muscles in your forehead and around your eyes soften and relax,

As if a gentle hand is smoothing away any tension or worry,

It may be helpful to imagine this soothing,

Relaxing energy as a particular color,

Imagining this beautiful,

Peaceful sensation as a colorful light,

And if you can't imagine,

Which is perfectly fine,

Just sensing,

Knowing how good it feels as each tiny muscle unwinds and releases,

You're doing great,

And now perhaps that relaxation feels warm and soothing as it moves down along the muscles of your neck,

Maybe allowing the pillow to absorb the weight of your head,

Feeling the soothing warmth sliding down into your shoulders,

Melting away any stress or tightness,

That's right,

Allowing that soothing release to continue,

Flowing down through your arms,

All the way to your fingertips,

As if you're being bathed by a wave of gentle calm,

Now letting this comforting wave of relaxation spread through your chest and down into your abdomen,

With your chest and belly softening,

They fill with a sense of peace and safety,

Each breath,

Filling your body with peace and safety,

And so it is perfectly safe to let the muscles in your back let go and sink deeper into a wonderful state of tranquility,

Slowly and easily,

This relaxation flows down into your hips and thighs and calves,

As every muscle becomes loose and limber,

Finally,

Letting it reach your feet,

Feeling grounded and at ease,

That's right,

Feeling fully supported and safe,

It's easy for your mind to be open and receptive to new ways of thinking,

To experiencing pleasure more easily,

More completely,

You know that you are always in control and can choose to accept only what resonates with you,

Immerse yourself only in what feels good,

You can follow along with the sound of my voice or allow it to simply wash over you,

Deepening this moment of restorative rest,

And perhaps it feels good to imagine yourself in a peaceful place,

A place where you feel completely at ease and joyful,

It can be real or imagined,

It could be a beautiful beach,

A serene quiet forest,

Or a cozy room filled with your favorite things,

As you imagine this place,

Notice the colors,

Sounds,

And textures around you,

Take your time,

There's plenty of time,

And it's exactly right for you to imagine this place exactly as you want it to be,

Feeling how you want to feel,

You're doing wonderfully,

Now recall a specific past experience of pleasure,

It could be a moment of laughter,

An accomplishment,

Savoring something you enjoy,

Or simply a time when you felt a deep sense of contentment,

Let the memory come easily,

It's perfectly fine for your imagination to support you,

See yourself in that moment,

Fully experiencing that moment of pleasure,

Perhaps noticing the expression on your face,

The sensations in your body,

And any emotions that arise,

Paying attention to what details feel most clear,

Vivid,

And alive,

Noticing what feels really good,

That's right,

And it isn't important for this moment of pleasure to be perfectly accurate,

In fact,

It can be more meaningful and satisfying to let your imagination fill in the details,

The magic and power is in noticing how pleasure shows up for you,

How pleasure expresses through you,

As you relive this pleasurable experience,

Imagine that you can intensify the pleasure,

Like turning up the volume or brightness,

Allow the sensations of pleasure to expand,

Brighten,

And permeate your entire being,

Wonderful,

Breathe,

Going a little deeper,

Opening a little wider to all the benefits of pleasure,

Imagining your entire being becoming healthier,

Happier,

More vivid,

More vibrant,

More powerful,

With each passing moment,

You're in control,

You choose,

You decide,

This pleasure is within you,

Always with you,

As you savor this full immersion in pleasure,

Pleasure that is naturally within you,

Available to you always,

A part of you,

Bright and beautiful,

Imagine a symbol or gesture that represents this powerful sensation of your unique experience of pleasure,

It could be a gentle touch of your thumb and forefinger,

A word or an image in your mind,

Choose something that resonates deeply with you,

Very good,

Whenever you use this symbol or gesture in the future,

It will instantly release the gentle,

Joyful rush of pleasure you're experiencing right now,

As you hold this symbol or gesture,

Feel the positive sensations in your body brighten and expand just a little bit more,

Allow these pleasurable sensations to be an anchor for your chosen symbol or gesture,

Associate this anchor with the feelings of joy,

Contentment,

Delight and satisfaction that you've accessed and amplified,

Know that whenever you use this anchor,

This symbol or gesture,

You will instantly experience these sensations of pure pleasure and the power of pleasure will expand and create even more pleasurable experiences across every area of your life,

You're doing perfectly,

In a moment,

I will count up from one to five,

With each number,

You will become more aware of your surroundings and you will bring with you this ability to access these bright and vivid sensations of pleasure at any time you like,

When I reach the count of five,

You will open your eyes,

Feeling refreshed,

At ease and filled with a sense of a new kind of power,

One,

Becoming aware of your surroundings,

Two,

Feeling a gentle surge of happy energy returning to your body,

Three,

A sense of gratitude and confidence flowing through you,

Four,

Taking a deep breath,

Coming fully awake and alert and five,

Opening your eyes,

Feeling wonderful in every way,

Congratulations,

You have anchored and amplified your innate power of pleasure,

Remember,

The more you engage with this practice,

The more powerfully present pleasure will become in your life,

Amplifying your well-being and anchoring a mindset of abundance and fulfillment,
