Welcome to your session today.
My name is Shanna Moyer and today I have the pleasure of leading you through a practice to help you enter the day from a space of regulation.
So wherever you are,
If you are still cozy in bed,
That is perfectly fine.
If you have already begun your day but you're feeling a little bit dysregulated and need some time to bring yourself back,
That's perfectly fine as well.
I invite you to close the windows of your eyes,
To grow quiet and grow soft with yourself,
And just listen for the next few minutes.
Resting your hands wherever they rest comfortably,
Whether it's in your lap or over your heart.
Today's meditation will incorporate a little bit of repetitive affirmation work.
For the first few rounds,
All you need to do is listen,
And then when it feels right to you,
You're welcome to join in.
As you enter into your day,
Doing so from a space where you feel safe,
You feel grounded,
And you feel regulated,
Allows us an opportunity to fully show up.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
Joining in with me in your own time,
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
And one more time,
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
Our days have a way of taking a sharp turn sometimes,
Of going in a direction that we didn't see possible.
Things pop up.
Notification.
People.
Challenges.
Directions change.
And that's okay.
We get to choose how we are going to act and react to those challenges.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I will handle whatever today brings.
Taking a big breath in and out.
You were made for this moment.
You were made for today.
There in your body,
You are safe.
There with your breath,
You are grounded.
And today,
You can handle whatever it is that comes your way.
Taking a moment with your breath and then allowing the windows of your eyes to come open.
Letting in the light and going into your day from a space of feeling safe,
Grounded,
Capable,
And regulated.
