So settle down into a comfortable seated position.
For this meditation.
If you're still in bed,
You're welcome to stay there.
But otherwise.
.
.
Comfortable seated position,
Straighten your spine.
See if you can relax your body around your spine.
Soften your shoulders.
Check out where your hands feel comfortable,
Maybe on your lap or on your knees.
Relax into.
Slowing down your breath.
So your body is going to respond mostly to the stillness and the pace of your breath.
So let's slow down our breathing.
To really soft.
Comfortable pace.
And as you slow down your breath,
Soften your shoulders.
Take a nice cycle of your breath to relax your face.
Feel the muscles across your forehead and around your eyes.
Temples,
Cheeks,
Jaw.
When you feel a part of your body Know that with intention,
With your breath and intention,
You can send signals to that part of the body to soften.
You'll literally feel it.
Let your eyebrows get heavy.
It's like intuitively you hear me say it.
You hear the words or repeat it in your mind and then your body will respond.
Relax your jaw.
You'll feel it.
And then come into a state of complete stillness if possible.
The only thing that's moving your body is your breath.
And within that stillness.
Think about letting go of everything that exists in your world.
Time.
Responsibilities.
Everything good,
Everything bad.
Just imagine that within that stillness.
The only thing that you're really focusing on is your breath.
Imagine that the that is.
All that exists right now.
And as you slowly breathe in,
Feel every millimeter.
Of sensation.
And movement.
So this whole big world.
This whole existence around you.
Has gone to this minute size.
Tiny little bubble of awareness that you've put yourself in.
Like a dew drop.
And within that is you.
In your breath and nothing else exists for now.
There may be noises around you.
In your mind,
Imagine that they're hazy.
That there's like a filter on them that makes them hazy and blurry.
Everything else is just backing away.
You and your breath is all that exists.
And in this complete stillness and quiet.
Set an intention on this day.
Session,
This seating,
This quietness,
Set an intention on it that Everything.
Before this time.
As arranged itself so that everything Doesn't really.
Matter.
Can you imagine that?
All of the things that you've been through.
Everything in your past.
Imagine everything that might have been traumatic in your childhood.
Just by sitting still.
And quiet.
Like this is a magic button.
Imagine that you can Soften it,
Diffuse it,
Just like the sounds around you.
You can make it so it's a little bit blurry.
Not so in focus,
Not so intense.
Like it's the past and the past is already.
Distant.
It's far enough away that you don't have to engage in it.
Unless you choose to.
Imagine this soft.
Spongy fluffy bubble of consciousness in between you now.
And you and your past.
A divide.
And you are consciously creating that divide so that you gain more.
Inner peace.
A sense of looking forward.
What's next?
What's new?
What's beyond?
What's coming?
Vs.
Carrying this big,
Heavy backpack of the past.
In this meditation.
See if you can just create that space.
That's your job.
That's all you have to do.
Create a space.
And a definite divide between that which is now and that which was.
Hmm.
Can you feel the separation of it?
Can you imagine it like this lightness in your body?
If you really,
Really.
.
.
Really can.
Separate yourself.
You'll feel a lightness.
The new nurse.
A feeling of getting back to who you really are.
In your body,
You feel it in your space,
In your consciousness,
In your mind.
Just a freedom.
And you're the one in charge.
You're the one in control.
You're the one that's putting an intention.
On your practice to create this separation to give you that sense of peace.
Freedom and lightness.
You're doing it all by yourself.
Keep seeing this spongy,
Hazy,
Kind of foggy space around you that nothing from the past can penetrate.
Creating your own buffer.
I'm going to be quiet just for a minute so that you can completely feel this sense of separation.
Really focus on it.
What if your buffer feels warm?
Soft.
Like a blanket.
And in this space,
As if you're a witness to your own mind and your own life,
Your own reality.
Can you see?
That there is a you inside of your mind.
That chooses to carry.
All of that.
That's on the other side of your buffer.
Can you see the choice,
The you inside you that chooses to carry all of that?
The weight of it.
Pain of it.
And that same you.
Following.
Some guidance in this meditation.
Can create.
A separation from it.
So that you're free from it for a moment.
So that you have some peace.
You can see that,
Can't you?
You can see the you inside that does that.
Let's switch directions and focus on.
.
.
What's in front?
Settle into seeing yourself in this.
Ideal.
That you have in your mind.
This light free.
Version of yourself.
Stepping into a new chapter.
What's in that chapter for you?
What would you like to see there?
What's coming?
Maybe as you think about the future,
There's a slight.
.
.
Apprehension.
Maybe there's a little bit of anxiety.
Maybe there isn't for you,
But maybe there is.
Maybe there's a little bit of fear of the unknown.
Any of that bubbles up in your energy while you're thinking about what's coming next.
Know that it's very normal.
It's natural and it's expected.
As human beings,
Something new,
Something different can be a scary thing for most of us.
So just acknowledge that,
And maybe if you do have that,
Can we shift it into a feeling of excitement?
Feels very similar.
What if I'm just excited?
What if you tell your body it's okay,
We're just excited?
Those.
Feelings in your abdomen.
Flutter in your chest.
They can all represent excitement.
And then a final part of this is calling in.
A little bit of knowing.
For that future part,
That next chapter.
Knowing.
That whatever happens Exactly.
How it's supposed to be.
Just kind of think that and feel that,
Chew on it.
Whatever happens next.
It's exactly how it's supposed to be.
And let your body once again feel free.
Open.
Because within that statement there is a sense of trust.
And acceptance.
And when you have trust and acceptance,
Straddle.
Goes away.
The suffering.
Goes away,
We only suffer if there is something that we cannot accept.
So if you take a nice big deep breath and think to yourself,
Whatever is coming is meant to be.
And within that,
There is a sense of ease for you as you move forward.
Whatever is coming is meant to be.
And you'll find yourself in that light,
Open space once again.
I'm going to count to three and when I get to three,
You can open your eyes.
And let all of the beautiful work that you've done today in this short period of time Let it all settle throughout the rest of your day.
Let it settle into your energy,
Into the consciousness around you,
Into universal consciousness.
Just let it be.
Counting to three now.
One.
To Three.
Opening your eyes.
Coming back into the visualizations of everything around you.
Coming back into.
This space.
Don't put too much thought into anything.
Just let it go,
Let it be.
