Aurora's Tooth Fairy | Children's Bedtime Story

Aurora needs a little help in the patience department as she has a wiggly tooth that doesn't want to come out. This is a problem when you have the coolest tooth fairy ever and you can't wait for her visit. You will also find you cannot stay awake to this one either :) Sleep tight, m​y little friends.

Are you ready to get snuggly and cuggly and squished down all nice and tight into your covers?

Are you ready to lay still as you can?

Let go of your busy day and completely relax?

Okay let me tell you about tonight's story.

It's all about being patient.

And being patient when you're six years old and your name is Aurora is a very difficult thing.

Especially when you have a wiggly tooth that won't fall out.

Aurora's wiggly tooth was not the first wiggly tooth experience that she'd had.

She wasn't very patient with the last one but this one was different.

This wiggly tooth had been in her mouth for at least 10 million years.

That's what it felt like to Aurora.

Realistically in all honesty it had only been about four days but to Aurora it was 10 million years.

The tooth did not want to come out and all that Aurora wanted was to see her favorite tooth fairy Eden Rosebud one more time.

Eden Rosebud was the cutest fairy you've ever seen.

She was perfect.

Her dress was made from a flower that looked like a bell.

And all along the bottom of her dress was tiny tiny little flowers.

She had an upside down flower on her head that she wore that was her hat.

And tiny tiny little flower petals wrapped around her feet as shoes.

Eden Rosebud was the perfect tooth fairy.

And Aurora couldn't wait for her to visit again.

Her mommy said,

Aurora you have to be patient.

Some things in life don't come straight away.

Sometimes you have to be patient and just wait.

It will happen I promise but you just have to wait.

Everything tends to come at the right time.

Aurora was not impressed with the answer and decided to take things into her own hands to make that tooth come out.

The first thing she tried was a very hard rock hard ice pop.

She figured if she bit down on the ice pop the wiggly tooth at the front of her mouth would probably kind of push back and wiggle some more and finally pop free.

It didn't happen.

All that happened was that Aurora got her little tiny tongue stuck to the ice pop.

Really really stuck because the ice pop was super super hard and super super cold.

And she had to run her tongue underneath the faucet to free it from the ice pop.

That was not her plan.

And it failed and she wasn't very happy.

The next thing she tried was taffy.

She figured rather than go rock hard she would go super sticky and soft and chewy.

So she got her favorite flavored taffy which was strawberry.

She decided rather than put one of the taffies in her mouth she'd double up maybe even triple up.

Triple up sounds better and she put three taffies in her mouth all at once and started to chew.

Do you know what happened?

Taffy got stuck on every other tooth except the one that was wiggly.

It was as if the wiggly one was like some ninja tooth and it was karate chopping the taffy away.

Taffy on every other tooth which took a lot of brushing and flossing to get off.

Failed.

Once again she was not very happy.

She'd heard that if you tie your a string around your loose tooth and tie it to a door frame and a door handle and then someone opens the door very quickly that that can sometimes pull your tooth out.

But she didn't really like that idea.

She had a better idea in her mind.

She was going to tie string around her loose tooth and then the other end of the string she was going to tie around her doggies paw.

She was going to make her doggie run and then pull out her tooth.

She thought that this would be much more fun than just doing it around a door handle and at the same time her doggie could be part of her losing her tooth.

It didn't work.

Her plan was a good plan but she didn't take into account that her doggie would be very very sleepy on the day that she tried this and he didn't want to run anywhere.

She couldn't coax him with dog treats.

She couldn't coax him with his favorite toy.

All he wanted to do was sleep.

It was as if once again the tooth had somehow communicated with her dog and said don't do it just go to sleep.

I'm not ready to come out yet.

This tooth had a mind of its own and Aurora was not impressed but it just didn't want to come out.

It seemed like another 10 million years until one day a very special day she was eating mac and cheese for dinner and she bit down on something hard.

It was a loose tooth.

Luckily she didn't swallow it.

My goodness what happens when you swallow your tooth?

She didn't swallow it but when she took it out of her mouth it was very dirty because it had mac and cheese stuck all over it so her mum had an idea.

You know when I was small there was a very special tooth fairy and that tooth fairy used to visit all of the children in the village.

Like your tooth fairy she was beautiful but she did something different from most tooth fairies.

She had magical wings and those magical wings well let me explain.

How about we wash your tooth fairy off and we put it in a glass of water next to your bed.

That way your tooth is nice and clean for Eden Rosebud and at the same time something very special might happen just like it used to happen with my tooth fairy when I was small.

Okay said Eden Rose said Aurora I can do that.

So that night they put the very clean tooth no mac and cheese anymore very clean tooth fairy into a tiny glass of water next to her bed.

Aurora fell to sleep quite quickly even though she was super excited.

As soon as she fell to sleep she started to dream magical dreams.

In her dreams Eden Rosebud was flying all around her room and everywhere she flew she sprinkled fairy dust gold silver and it lit up different parts of her room just like fireworks in the sky.

And every time she flew past Aurora could smell roses fresh scented roses.

Her dream was super super sweet and in her dream she got to fly all around her own bedroom with Eden Rosebud.

They flew here and there and Aurora got to sprinkle magical fairy dust on all of her teddies and her dolls.

It was a super dream.

It was a magical dream.

And the next morning when she woke up there was no tooth but the water next to her bed where her tooth had been sitting in had turned the prettiest pink.

Aurora got very excited jumped up out of bed and went to shout her mom come look come look come look what happened.

Aurora's mommy came into the room sat down on her bed and said yes it seems as if Eden Rosebud must have been my tooth fairy when I was small because my tooth fairy would change the water into whatever colour her wings were.

She would dive down into the water grab the tooth and fly up and away back to tooth fairy land but she would always leave a trace of magical dust the same colour as her wings.

Now how cool is that?

And Aurora's mom said did you notice that once you stopped trying so hard to make that tooth fall out once you just let the whole thing go and decided to be patient it came out anyway?

Aurora said yes even though she didn't really like it.

Yes that did happen and you are right.

Okay well maybe next time next tooth you'll be much more patient and just let it come to the point where it decides it's ready all by itself.

How about that?

Said Aurora's mom and Aurora said yes okay it's a deal.

And then she proceeded to ask 10 million billion questions about the colour of the water about Eden Rosebud's wings and if Eden Rosebud's wings changed colour and if the water would be different colour next time and what if it was a different fairy with different coloured wings next time and on and on and on and on.

And Aurora's mommy was very patient and answered all of her questions.

The end.

So now if you are laying there trying to fall to sleep with a wiggly tooth remember it's best to be patient.

Even if it's really really difficult it's good to be patient.

Close your eyes if you haven't done so already.

Close your eyes so you can start to fall into dreamland.

Close your eyes let your body relax and get sleepy.

Imagine with your eyes closed that you have wings just like Eden Rosebud.

Imagine your wings being your favourite colour and everywhere you flew in the sky at night all that anyone could see were sprinkles of gold and silver fairy dust like a trail of light falling behind you everywhere you went.

You would fly to very special magical places,

Places that humans don't know exist.

Did you know that some flowers have secret passageways into another world?

The flowers that are big enough for fairies to fly into are all different tunnels into other worlds,

Other lands where fairies go to do many many things.

Fairy dust is very very magical.

Sometimes they use it and sprinkle it on insects like ladybugs or caterpillars,

Butterflies and spiders and they sprinkle it on them.

Whenever they need to be brought back to life a fairy if she can will help.

Fairy dust can be used to make flowers grow where there is not enough water.

Fairy dust can be used to make fruit grow on fruit trees.

It can make stars shine brighter.

It can make the sun fall to sleep so the moon can come up in the sky.

Fairy dust has magical powers.

Fairy dust can make you grow super super tall or very very tiny.

Fairy dust can make you have the most amazing dreams.

Time to go to sleep my little friend.

Let your body get super super sleepy.

Loved the story but when I tried it for myself it didn't work my tooth fairy left the tooth in the NORMAL water but still gave me money.

I listened to this the night when I lost my tooth which was this night 24th August :) anyway this is amazing I love it she doesn’t seem very patient but this is good I was patient with my tooth and sometimes wiggled it

I lost 3 teeth and got one pulled out by the dentist but I didn’t bring it back because it had a hole/cavity:)
