Make sure that you're laying down and everything is just right in your room.
The lights are just right.
You're wearing your comfortable pajamas.
You're ready to let go of your day and allow your body to completely relax.
To let your body relax,
Sometimes it's good to focus on different parts of your body.
You can use your breath to breathe into different parts of your body to use an intention to relax.
To relax your muscles,
Your bones.
Just let yourself get super,
Super sleepy.
It helps if you close your eyes.
But instead of just closing your eyes like you normally do,
Imagine that you're closing your eyes and you're going into a whole new world.
So even though it looks dark when you first close your eyes,
It doesn't have to stay dark.
We can create a world inside of our minds that looks any way we want it to.
We can go anywhere we want to in our minds because our mind and our imagination is like magic.
We can create magic if we just imagine it.
For example,
With your eyes closed right now,
I want you to imagine that you're standing in front of your own front door.
The door is closed and you're standing there as if you're just going to go inside like you do so many times.
You've done it before and you'll do it again in the future.
You'll go through your front door into your house.
But right now,
I want you to just remember everything about your front door.
The color of your front door.
The size of the front door.
What the door handle or door knob looks like.
Look down at your feet and remember if you have like a welcome mat or what you'd be standing on in front of your front door.
Maybe it's just the ground.
Look all around your front door.
Notice the color of the paintwork.
Notice if your door has windows or panels.
Really really use your memory to bring back exactly all of the details about your front door.
Like magic,
It will feel like you're standing right there in front of it.
Then we're going to use some extra magic.
Instead of you going through this door in a few moments,
You'll find yourself somewhere completely different.
You won't be going into your house.
You'll be going somewhere very very magical.
So I'm going to count to three.
When I say one in just a few moments,
You'll open your front door.
When I say two,
You'll walk through the doorway.
And when I say three,
You'll close the door behind you.
And you'll find yourself in a castle.
Ready to go through the door.
One,
Two,
Three.
Now,
Look down at your feet and notice that you're standing on a stone floor.
If you're not wearing anything on your feet,
The floor you'll notice feels very very cold.
It's cold inside this castle.
There's no windows.
There's no central heating.
There's just big giant fireplaces in every room.
You can hear the fire crackling in a fireplace that's right there in front of you on the far side of the room.
At this point,
You can't feel the heat of the fire,
But you can see it and you can hear it.
You look around the room and there's furniture.
There's big giant pictures of strange looking people on the wall.
I want you to make your way over to the fireplace.
And next to the fireplace,
You'll find a big king sized chair.
Like a throne waiting for you to sit on right there in front of the fire.
You sit down on the chair and now you can feel the heat coming from the fire.
You take a big deep breath and relax into the comfortable throne.
It's got soft fluffy pillows on it.
You stare at the flames.
The bright orange and red and gold.
Sometimes when they flicker you can see bits of green.
They're shimmering all different colors and sizes.
It's very mesmerizing and very,
Very relaxing.
You can hear the wood crackling and popping as it burns.
There's a soft,
Comfortable,
Fluffy blanket hanging over the back of the throne.
So you can stay nice and warm and snuggly.
It's time to relax your body completely.
Let the rest of the world disappear.
Let it fade away.
All that there is right now is this chair,
This castle,
The fireplace and you.
You close your eyes and feel the heat all over your body.
It relaxes your toes,
The base of your feet,
Your ankles.
You can feel the warmth on your lower legs,
Your knees,
The tops of your legs.
Your tummy feels warm.
Your chest feels warm.
Your shoulders,
Arms,
Hands.
You can feel the flames of the fireplace on your face.
It's very,
Very relaxing.
You decide that you can take a little nap right here.
Your eyes keep closing,
Feeling heavier and heavier.
But the flames are so pretty,
You try and keep your eyes open so that you can watch the fire.
But the sound of a nap and the fact that your eyelids are so heavy just winds you over eventually.
All you want to do is go to sleep.
Just relax completely.
You're safe and warm.
No worries in the world.
Here in this magical castle,
Sat on this king's throne.
Big,
Fluffy blanket.
The warmest,
Prettiest fireplace you've ever seen.
Just sleep,
My little friend.
Let your body drift off as you listen to the music and fall fast asleep.
