Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Climb up into your bed and get super,
Super comfortable.
Make sure that everything is just right in your room.
The lights are just right.
You're wearing your cosy,
Comfy pyjamas and all is well in the world so that you can fully relax your body,
Hopefully fall to sleep and have the bestest,
Bestest dreams.
Coriander was making a potion,
A potion to heal her broken heart.
Coriander had had a crush.
She was completely and utterly beside herself anytime she was near this particular person.
They looked good,
They made her laugh.
She got excited and her heart got all giddy every time she saw them.
And this had been going on for weeks and weeks and weeks until Coriander went to the local ice skating ring with some of her friends and saw her crush with someone else.
Holding hands.
Skating.
Together.
Devastated.
Completely and utterly broken hearted.
Coriander had been sad for a month.
She couldn't get out of it.
Every morning when she woke up she was sad.
She constantly thought about them.
She didn't even try to think about them.
She could see their face in her mind all the time and it was driving her bersonkers.
She'd be doing something like making a cup of tea and there they were in her mind.
Walking to school and there they were in her mind.
She'd had enough.
It was time to do something witchy-pooey drastic.
Coriander knew the sacred powers of cacao.
Cacao is basically a form,
The natural form,
Of chocolate.
Who doesn't love chocolate?
I mean,
When you eat chocolate,
It makes you feel good.
Chocolate makes you happy.
Chocolate does something to the brain that releases happy endorphins inside of the body and makes you feel good.
So,
Can you imagine what cacao does?
Coriander had had some ceremonial cacao shipped to her house.
Ceremonial cacao is basically pure cacao.
It's very strong.
It's the chocolate bean in its purest,
Finest form.
They roast the chocolate beans and then sometimes they grind them into a powder.
That's cacao powder.
Sometimes they break them up.
They're called cacao nibs.
They're like little hard chunks of these cacao chocolate beans.
They taste like really,
Really,
Really,
Really dark chocolate.
There's no sweetness to them at all.
This is not like a chocolate bar.
This is like a potion.
It's medicinal.
It's to heal your heart,
To open your heart,
To help your heart be free,
Open,
Loving.
Cacao can also help you to grieve,
To open your heart and let go.
Coriander was hoping that this would help her to move on,
To let all of the sadness out of her body.
Coriander had a block of cacao.
It was like a big giant block of chocolate bar.
She grated some of the cacao off the big chocolate bar,
About maybe a tablespoon or two,
And put it in her favorite hot beverage mug.
Then she added some boiling water.
This helps the cacao to melt.
But she also had a proper cacao stick and it looked like a baby rattle but big.
She put that in the mug and started to turn it around as if she was squashing the chunks of chocolate.
And as she turned it,
Every turn was kind of like an intention setting.
So every time she turned her cacao magical wand,
She said,
Please help me heal.
Please take this pain away.
Please let me move on.
Let me be kind and wish my crush all the best in the world.
Just help me to heal my broken heart.
These were the kind of statements that she was saying to herself as she made the cacao.
Then she added cinnamon.
Then she added a tiny pinch of salt.
Then she added honey to sweeten her broken heart.
Lots of honey.
Then she stirred with her magical cacao wand over and over again,
Placing her intentions into the medicinal potion that she was making that would heal her broken heart.
Finally,
She got to the point where it felt like it was full of her intentions.
She'd said everything that she needed to say.
She went to where she meditates and sat down at her altar on her favorite meditation pillow.
She lit a candle,
A white candle to purify the space.
To make sure everything was clean,
And it was only full of high vibration of love and light.
Coriander had the right intention.
She just wanted to stop her heart from hurting.
It was horrible.
Who wants a broken heart?
They are not fun.
Coriander sat comfortably,
Crisscross applesauce,
Closed her eyes,
And held her cup of cacao to her heart space.
She held it to her heart and she said,
Please make all the magic in this cacao drink.
Heal my broken heart.
And with that,
She started to sip on her chocolate,
Yummy,
Delicious beverage.
Ceremonial cacao was so yummy.
And you could make it in so many different ways.
You can make it with hot milk.
You can make it and put it on ice like you can iced coffee.
You can make it with maple syrup.
You can make it with agave to sweeten it.
You could add cinnamon.
You could add maca powder.
You can add ashwagandha.
You could add all sorts of different potions.
You can make it spicy and add chili powder or some kind of paprika.
Cayenne pepper,
If you want to go really spicy.
Coriander sat there as if she was in prayer,
With her eyes closed the whole time,
Swallowing the magic potion.
And she could feel her heart starting to soften and then open.
Her heart opened wide and she started to feel a sense of peace and happiness.
She had the biggest smile on her face.
She was so happy that she felt happy once again.
It had been a month since she'd smiled.
A month since she'd seen her crush at the ice skating rink with another person.
She thought about her crush and how easy she'd started crushing.
She would probably crush again.
And she would probably crush her heart once again.
And she sat there and realized that this was life.
This is how it works when you love.
Sometimes it feels so good and yummy.
And then sometimes it feels like heart-wrenchingly horrible.
Like you want to die.
But everybody feels like that when it comes to love.
You have ups and you have downs.
But your heart does heal eventually.
And then eventually you can't help but fall in love again because we're human beings and that's what we do.
We love each other.
During Coriander's ceremonial cacao spell,
So to speak,
She played really cool music.
All the music that she liked to listen to that made her feel happier.
And this helped with making her feel happy.
As well as the potion.
And by the time an hour had passed,
She was up and moving.
She'd also thought up a new potion while she was sat there and she was excited to write it in her spell book.
It was to make her fingernails grow.
She was thinking about all the ingredients.
Obviously she was feeling better because she hadn't thought about making spells in a month.
Coriander sat at her little desk and wrote out her nail growing recipe.
And then she closed her spell book.
She decided to call one of her friends and go and spend some time at the park.
Outside.
In the sunshine.
All the flowers were blooming and it made her feel super happy to be outside.
And finally she could breathe deeper and see the colours of the flowers.
And see the sky.
And laugh with her friend.
And it felt really good.
And that's when she knew that the spell had worked.
To be able to laugh with her friend once again meant that her heart was definitely healing.
Maybe not all the way at this point but it was definitely healing.
There was an improvement for sure.
Maybe she would do a couple more cacao ceremonies before she was completely fixed.
But this was exciting because it worked and she felt so much better.
So if you have a crush and they broke your heart maybe you should do a cacao spell.
It might help.
The end.
