Hello my friends,

My name is Kari and if you've joined me for this meditation today,

It's because you need to get grounded and balanced and feel in a good place in your body once again.

So I recommend that you do the meditation in a seated position,

Sit in a way that your feet are flat on the ground.

So if you normally sit with your legs crossed in a meditation position when you meditate,

For this one use a pillow under your sit bones and sit as if you're sat in a squat position.

So your feet are flat on the ground or use a chair.

Once you're comfortable,

Close down your eyes and pull your attention inside of your body.

Let go of everything on the outside,

Any noises that are in your atmosphere,

The situation where you're at.

Start to feel your breath,

Using your breathing as a point of focus.

Intentionally start to slow down your breath,

Creating more of a sense of calm inside of your body.

Taking nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Move your attention down into your feet.

Feel inside of your feet.

See if you can go really still and quiet and connect to a tingling sensation or a vibration in your feet.

Creating a feeling of contraction,

Squeeze your toes as if you're squeezing at the earth beneath your feet.

So whether you're wearing your socks or your shoes or your barefoot,

It doesn't matter.

Pull back your toes and squeeze them in as if you're squeezing the earth between your feet,

Crunching up your toes.

And then relax your toes and just let them pull and stretch open.

Once again,

Pull in your toes,

Crunch them down into the ground and pull them back as if you're squeezing them in and contracting them.

And then release them,

Expand them,

Stretch them out and grip the floor once again with nice,

Long,

Extended toes.

Focus on the pads of your toes.

Really connect to the earth with the tips and the pads of your toes.

Maybe pulsing them up and down so that you feel as if you're connecting and pulling,

Just little tiny movements.

So now you've passed your toes and you're coming up your foot but you're still underneath on the base of your foot and you're pushing those pads down into the earth.

Push them into the ground as if you're trying to push through the surface of the earth beneath you.

Push them down with some force,

Connect strongly and then relax and let them soften.

Bypassing the arches of your feet into the heel pads,

Push down with your heels,

Push down into the ground.

So you're taking some weight off your toes and the front part of your foot at this point and you're pushing down into the ground.

Really,

Really pushing into the earth and connecting and then lift up and soften,

Release.

Go quiet and just feel the overall sensation in your feet.

Imagine that your feet have melted and fallen into the earth and now they're deeply stuck and connected and rooted into the earth.

Imagine that you can feel the earth around the tops of your feet,

Covering the tops of your toes,

Like when you stand on the beach and you sink into the sand beneath your feet.

Imagine that this is happening right now,

Even though you could be at home or at work at your desk.

Just imagine you're that rooted,

That you've sunken into the ground.

When you feel like you've made that connection,

As if your real reality around you has disappeared and now you're in a place where your feet are definitely part of the earth,

See if you can create a sensation of sucking.

Imagine your feet are absorbing and sucking up energy from the earth.

So now your feet are like magnets and they're pulling and drawing,

Just like sucking up a straw,

Pulling the earth's energy,

The grounding electrical magnetic energy from the earth,

Pulling it up into your legs,

Up past your knees into your thighs,

Sucking it in,

Using your breath with the motion,

If it feels right for you.

When you inhale,

Imagine you're sucking up the energy,

Pulling it up into your hips,

Up into the base of your spine and your abdomen,

Drawing the energy up through your spine all the way to your shoulders,

Up through your fingertips.

Feel it traveling up your arms to your shoulders,

Pull it all the way up your neck into your head.

Imagine your body is like a battery and you're charging the energy of your battery with the energy of the earth.

The electricity and the magnetism helps you to feel balanced back in harmony,

Structured,

Strong,

Sturdy.

Your mind is focused,

Your entire body feels grounded,

Energized once again.

See if you can feel a slight buzzing sensation throughout your entire body.

Just take a moment to feel it.

Now you can just open your eyes,

Come back into your space and carry on with your day.

Namaste my friend.
