Welcome,
This short practice is here to support you when anger feels loud or overwhelming.
I want you to know right now that you do not need to fix anything.
You do not need to change how you feel.
You are simply invited to come home to yourself,
To the space beneath the feeling,
To the calm that is already here.
Let your body settle just where it is and feel the ground beneath you.
There is nothing you need to do right now.
Just let the next few minutes be a space where you stop efforting and let go of trying to get anywhere.
Just notice what is here.
You might feel a tightness in the chest,
Heat in the body,
A racing mind or something else entirely.
Whatever you're experiencing is okay.
You are safe to feel.
There is no wrong way to be here.
Bring your attention to the breath.
You do not need to breathe a special way.
Just notice the inhale,
The exhale,
The rise and fall.
Let the breath find its own rhythm.
Anger often shows up like a fire,
Fast,
Hot,
Reactive.
But it is not you.
It is not your identity.
It is a temporary experience of movement of thought,
A surge of energy created by believing something in this moment.
You are the space it moves through,
Not the flame itself.
Notice again how your body feels now,
Without judgment,
Without commentary,
Just awareness.
Let each sensation be there.
Let it rise.
Let it soften.
Let it pass if it wants to.
Even in moments of strong emotion,
There is a place in you that is untouched.
It is the part of you that sees,
That notices,
That does not need to react.
This presence is who you are.
Let yourself lean into that now.
Not as a technique,
Not as a trick,
But as a return to what is already true.
What you are feeling does not need to be pushed away,
And it does not need to be acted on.
You can simply allow it to be here,
And also allow it to pass.
Let yourself rest in this knowing.
The intensity of anger is not evidence that something is wrong.
It is a reflection of what thought looks like when it feels very real.
It will shift.
It will move.
It always does.
Now come back to your breath.
Let it anchor you.
Feel your body as it softens,
Or not.
There is no goal here.
No better state to reap.
Only presence.
Notice how much space there is in this moment.
Not space you have to create,
But space that was already here,
Underneath the thinking.
There is more to you than this feeling.
You are more than the narrative your mind is spinning.
You do not need to solve the anger.
You do not need to solve yourself.
Just allow it all to be seen,
And let that be enough.
Now take a few more gentle breaths.
Let them remind your system that it is safe.
That it can rest.
That nothing needs to be done right now.
You haven't failed by feeling anger.
You are not broken.
This is simply one weather pattern passing through,
And you are the sky that holds it.
Let yourself land now in this space of presence.
A little quieter.
A little more open.
Just here.
Whenever you feel ready,
Bring some movement back to the body.
Let your awareness return to the space around you.
There is nothing you need to hold on to.
This presence is always available.
