Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three-principles perspective.
Fear is an interesting concept in this day and age.
When we were hunter-gatherers,
We were really in danger a lot of the time.
But most of the time these days,
Most of us are not in real danger.
In actual fact,
The vast majority of the fear we experience is created by thought in the moment.
It's our imaginations saying that something could be wrong or might be wrong.
It's often to do with something that might happen in the future,
Not what's actually happening right now.
That fear you're experiencing is not your fault.
It's also not a signal of danger and not a sign that there's something wrong with you.
It's just that right now you're caught up with a particular kind of fearful thinking,
A story that you're believing.
And as a result of believing that story,
You're feeling fear in your body.
In actual fact,
That fear is a beautiful signal from your body.
Something one three-principles teacher called Elsie Spittel said were love notes from your body to let you know that you're believing a story,
A really fearful story that's just not true.
Of course,
When we experience fear,
It's very easy to get caught in trying to manage it and fix it and make it go away.
But when we understand it better,
We can fall into peace much more easily.
I'm here to remind you that who you are underneath your busy mind,
Your fearful thinking and your stories about the future is steady,
Spacious and unbroken.
That's always true about you.
The thoughts you experience,
The fear you experience,
That horrible sensation in your body is all passing through.
So maybe just for a moment,
You can take a slight step backwards into a place of observation,
A place of noticing.
Noticing that right now,
The stormy clouds of fear are passing across your blue sky.
But you're the blue sky,
Not the stormy clouds of fear.
I really hope that this reset,
This few moments of listening,
Has helped you to find a little peace.
Thank you so much for listening.
