Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three principles perspective.
Overthinking is a signal of a busy mind.
It doesn't actually provide the source of our solutions.
You might have noticed that for yourself.
Perhaps you've got caught up in trying to solve something,
Thinking and thinking and going round and round in circles.
And then you decided to put it down and leave it alone.
And when you came back,
Or maybe just randomly when you were doing something else,
The solution appeared.
It appeared when your mind was quiet.
You have a quite amazing system actually.
It's there to let you know when you're not really going to be very good at solving problems.
Your body lets you know when you're lost in thought,
Because it feels really uncomfortable.
You might notice tightness or discomfort,
Or maybe those angry butterflies are whirling round and round in your stomach.
The solution that you're looking for isn't there when you feel like that.
Those thoughts can feel so compelling,
But they're always in motion,
They're always moving.
And a new thought can always be along in any moment.
When our mind is quiet,
That's actually much more likely to happen.
There's something magical that's so much deeper than your thinking.
Your deeper awareness,
Your connection to universal intelligence,
That remains untouched by the mental noise.
And that's what appears when we allow our mind to go quiet.
The only reason we stay in overthinking is because we think the problem can be solved there.
When we see that's not true,
It becomes easier and easier to let go of our overthinking,
And allow our solutions to arise from that quieter space.
You don't have to do that yourself.
You don't have to try and manage your thoughts or control them.
But you can learn to allow them to settle naturally.
And I trust that you have a way that works for you to do that.
There's no right way.
It's just that once you know that overthinking isn't the way to solve our problems,
It's just a sign that our mind is stirred up.
It becomes more and more likely for us to just pop that down.
Like if we picked up a knife with the wrong end and held it in our hands,
We would very quickly put that blade down and pick up the knife with the blunt end.
Overthinking is very similar to that.
Once you realise that it's not going to get you where you want to go,
That it's not really where you're going to find the answer,
When you realise it actually hurts,
You become more and more inclined to pop it down.
I hope that's been helpful.
Take care.
Lots of love.
