Okay so it's time to move into a shaking exercise and to do this just find a comfortable space,
Stand with your feet about hip width apart and then just softly bend into the knees.
Take a little moment at first to roll the shoulders,
To roll the neck and to start to feel into your body and notice what you feel.
It can help to close the eyes,
To drop deeper to the inside world within you.
Notice where there's tightness,
Where there is tension and maybe you can even connect with one word of how you feel right now.
And it could be reflective of the day that you've had.
Maybe you feel peaceful already,
Maybe you feel stressed,
Maybe you feel excited or even nervous,
Maybe you feel calm.
Connect with one word for how you feel and try to remember this word because we're going to compare it to how you feel again at the end of this exercise.
And then invite a deep breath into your body.
Open the mouth and let a deep breath go.
And start to bend the knees,
Bouncing up and down and let your body become nice and soft.
So try and really release any tension and feeling like jelly.
Your body is malleable.
And as you start to do this,
You might swing your arms a bit back and forth.
And if there is something that you want to let go of,
You want to shake it off,
The stress of the day,
The day that you've had,
Anything that you no longer want to hold on to,
Just take this moment to really let it go.
Good.
And start to feel the motion building up in your body.
And this is an intuitive practice.
It's a practice for you.
So you can take this movement as you wish.
You can let your body take over,
Let it guide you.
And then just start to shake the hands a little more.
And start to shake the arms.
And start to really feel the energy moving in this part of the body.
And maybe you even start to shake one of the legs,
The other leg,
Just really allowing the energy in the body to start to really move.
And you might want to bounce a bit more.
You can run on the feet.
You can take your arms up and over your head,
Out to the sides,
Wherever it feels.
The only important thing right now is that you continue to move your body however that looks for you.
Moving,
Bouncing,
Shaking it overnight,
Deep breath,
Breathing fully in.
Getting into the shoulders,
The hips.
It can look funny,
It can look strange.
I'm sure there's nobody watching you,
So just let your body move however it wants to move.
And then moving a little faster,
Feeling all the cells in your body become alive,
A full body vibration.
Shaking up the old energy,
Shaking it up and out,
Creating space for the new,
Creating new energy in your body.
Letting go of tension,
Letting go of stress,
Letting go of restriction,
Letting go of procrastination,
Letting go of fear,
Letting go of all those things that no longer serve you.
And when you're ready,
Take a deep breath in,
Reach your arms up full,
Exhale,
Softly rest the arms down by your side.
Close your eyes,
Feel the vibration in your body,
Feel the beating of your heart.
And connect with one word to describe how you feel.
And notice if that word has changed from before we began.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open the eyes again,
Come back to this space.
And just know that shaking is an exercise that you can do even just one minute a day,
As soon as you wake up or in the evening,
After you come home and you want to shake off the day that's been,
Use it as one of your tools to quickly and instantly shift the energy and remove the tension from your body.
And just enjoy this creative movement as it allows you to explore what is happening within your own body.
