This guided meditation will take you on a short journey through the three levels of wellness.
Body,
Mind and spirit.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lay down and let your eyes close.
Take a deep breath in,
Fill up your body and then exhale,
Let it go.
Now place your hands somewhere on your body that feels comfortable for you.
Feel the textures beneath your hands of your clothes or bare skin.
Feel the gentle pulsation of your heart.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath,
Reminding you that your body is a living,
Breathing organism that you can call home.
If you feel any sensations in your body,
Just take a moment to notice them with curiosity.
Checking in with your body is a beautiful way to take a minute of self-care and nourishment throughout the day.
Now let's check in with the mental activity that is happening.
What thoughts are on your mind?
Which memories are arising?
What kind of to-do lists keep popping up?
Without focusing on one particular thought,
Just be aware of the types of thoughts that are floating through your mind.
Now choose one or two words that could describe the quality of these thoughts.
Are your thoughts mostly happy,
Funny,
Neutral,
Fearful,
Stressful,
Etc.
?
Try to come up with one or two words of your own to describe these thoughts that are running through your mind.
This is a wonderful way to check in and to make a change to your thought focus.
Take a deep breath now and as you exhale,
Imagine the thoughts leaving the body and clearing your mind.
Now it is time to check in with the spirit.
Take a moment to reflect upon how energized and full of life you were when you woke up this morning.
Did that energy increase or decrease throughout your day?
How do you feel right now?
Are you inspired or a little exhausted?
Once you've checked in with your current energy,
Spend the next few moments picturing yourself doing some of the activities that really energize you.
Imagine yourself doing those things that bring your spirit alive.
Feel it in your body,
Feel it in your mind and feel it in your entire spirit.
Take one last deep breath now and let it go.
Exhale softly.
If you wish to enjoy more time with your mind,
Body and spirit,
You are welcome to stay here in this moment for a while longer.
If you are ready to return from this meditation,
You can now open your eyes.
Allow the integration of body,
Mind and spirit to nourish your health and well-being on all levels.
Be sure to check in regularly and return to this meditation when you need a few moments of clarity.
