I love you body.
I love you body.
This is a dedicated love letter to my body,
The one and only.
I begin by arriving right here in this moment.
I let my breath move naturally,
Without any force.
I simply notice that I'm here and my body is here with me.
So body,
I wanted to tell you today,
Without judgment and only love,
Thank you.
Thank you for carrying me through every season of my life.
Through moments of joy,
Pain,
Through what was easy and what was hard.
Even when I didn't understand you,
You supported me.
I love you.
I wrap my arms around myself,
Knowing that I will always be supported.
And that this is the only body I have,
And it's beautiful.
I see how hard you work for me,
Body.
Every breath you've taken,
Every heartbeat you've offered,
Every signal you've sent to protect me.
Even when I misunderstood it,
Thank you.
I'm simply here to say I'm listening.
I hear everything you're trying to share with me,
And I plan on treating you well.
So today,
I breathe slowly.
I soften my shoulders and I relax my jaw.
I allow my belly to be at ease,
And I give my nervous system permission to settle.
I love you,
Body,
Exactly as you are in this moment.
Who you are,
My home.
I send gratitude to every cell,
To my muscles,
My bones,
Organs,
My skin.
Everything working quietly,
Holding me together,
And connecting me to this world.
And with this inhale,
I appreciate you,
And release any criticism with the exhale.
I promise to listen more closely,
And to rest when you ask,
To move when you want,
And to speak to you with patience and care.
I love you,
Body.
I trust you.
I'm at home with you.
And so I take one final slow breath,
Just settling into this,
Knowing that I am safe,
I am loved,
And my body is whole and complete.
Thank you again,
Dear body.
I love you.
Take care.
