We’re all energetically connected to every person and experience that comes into and out of our lives. Some of these connections are fleeting and weak; others are binding and strong. But, we have control over our energetic ties. Cord cutting is the process of severing our energetic connections to other people, fears, or experiences that are hindering our healing and growth. It is essential to let go as it may be weighing you down and holding you back. These bonds can hinder your energy and keep you stuck in old thoughts and patterns. This cord-cutting breathwork and meditation session will help you to sever these ties and make space for healing. Thank you for breathing with me. Caylin

Welcome to this guided cord-cutting meditation.

My name is Kaylin and I'll be breathing with you today.

Let's prepare our cord-cutting space.

Light a candle of the color of your choosing.

Sometimes this is in tune with the chakra that is being affected.

Just choose what feels right to you.

If you can open a window,

Clear the air,

Light some sage,

Or burn the essential oil of your choosing,

That's ideal.

If you'd like to get scissors and yarn to actually cut a physical item,

That is an option for you.

If you can do this session in the bath,

That's a great conductor of energetic transference.

Please feel free to pause this meditation while you create your sacred space.

Let's take a moment to ground our energy in the space around you.

Breathe,

Listen to my voice as we prepare to cut cords.

We are all energetically connected to every person that walks into and out of our lives.

Some of these connections are fleeting and weak.

Others are binding and strong.

But we have control over our energetic ties.

Cord-cutting is the process of severing our energetic connections to these people,

These fears,

Or these experiences that are hindering our healing and growth.

It's essential to let go of people and experiences that may be weighing you down and holding you back.

These bonds can hinder your energy and keep you stuck in old thoughts and patterns.

When we cut the cords of these people and experiences,

We are opening space for more mental clarity.

We're improving our physical health and removing pain.

And we're opening passageways in our energetic field to heal our relationship with others and with ourself.

Let's begin.

Get comfortable.

You can close your eyes.

You may stand,

Sit,

Or lie down.

We're going to start with a few deep breaths.

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Just drop into your body now and ask where this cord is connected to inside you.

Let's focus our attention there as we breathe.

Deep breath in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Really releasing.

Slow exhale.

When you feel ready to begin,

Hold the name or emotion in your mind,

Placing the intention inside of your body.

Imagine a cord that may be attached to that person or feeling and just feel its weight.

Feel its attachment.

Sit with this feeling and accept it.

Let it be.

It's been there.

It's rooted.

Breathe into this feeling.

Deep breath.

Release.

Now wave your hands in front of you in a cutting motion to symbolize the energy being severed and falling away.

Imagine this cord being cut with the scissors of your hands and it simply falls away far,

Far from your energy field.

The person or emotion fades away.

It has no power over you.

Breathe into this feeling.

Deep breath in.

All the way out.

Feel your energy shifting,

Making space.

Now say out loud,

I set you free.

Let's say it again with a deep breath.

I set you free.

One more time.

Deep breath.

I set you free.

Breathe into this feeling.

Feel your body making room.

Feel your body filling with love.

There is no longer pain.

Attachment.

Deep breath in and out.

I'm going to do this three more times together.

Each time facing a different direction.

Clearing your entire field.

So let's turn to the right.

Breathe.

Use your intention.

Cut the cord.

And state,

I set you free.

Take your time.

Deep breath in.

And out.

I set you free.

Ground yourself in this new space.

Deep breath.

All the way up.

If you're feeling ready,

Let's turn to the right one more time.

Breathe.

Focus your intention.

Cut that cord.

And I set you free.

Deep breath.

I set you free.

Take your time.

Deep breath.

Good.

Facing center,

Let's take a moment to put our hands to our heart center.

Tune into our body.

Any emotions that are coming up,

Let them come.

Let's spend some time in gratitude.

Stepping outside of ourselves and being grateful for this person,

This experience.

And we send them love.

Thank you for the lesson.

You've helped me.

I know this is hard.

Breathe into this.

Grounding.

Accepting.

And be thankful.

Deep breath here.

Check in with your energy to see the changes that have happened in your body.

Open your eyes and stare into the candle flame while you breathe,

Regulate,

And ground.

Let's watch that flame dance and allow your energy to sink with this new space that you have made.

Bring yourself back.

Take a moment to allow any thoughts that may be coming up and any feelings that may arise with the words allow and accept.

I allow this.

I accept this.

Deep breath here.

If you feel that your energy is still attached,

The cord may still be there.

You may have to repeat this a few times and do it as many times as you need.

We are only human.

If you are feeling free,

Embrace the moment.

Give yourself grace and allow yourself to feel peace.

You deserve it.

You've been carrying this and now it's gone.

Take as much time as you need.

Enjoy your freedom and be sure to set boundaries in the future to prevent this from happening again.
