Welcome.
I hope you've had time to watch my video,
Everything You Need to Know About the Physiological Side.
In that video.
I share more about the science.
Benefit.
And common mistakes of this breathing technique.
So head there if you're curious to learn more.
But in this video,
We simply practice.
Right away.
Find a comfortable position.
You might sit upright.
Soften your shoulders.
You even lie down.
Or close your eyes if that feels supportive.
Take a moment to arrive.
Notice the surface beneath you or behind you.
Notice your body breathing naturally.
And without needing to change anything at all.
Simply notice how you feel right now.
Physiological sigh is a simple breathing pattern that can help interrupt stress.
And signal safety.
To your nervous system.
The practice is made up of two inhalations through your nose,
One gentle exhale out your mouth.
I'll guide us through it,
Slowly.
Right now.
Let's begin.
Take a slow inhalation through your nose.
And now a second small inhale through your nose to top it up.
Gently exhale through an open mouth with a sigh.
And again.
Through your nose.
Calmly inhaling.
When you're full,
Sip in a little more air through the nose.
Take a long,
Relaxed exhale out your mouth.
And allow your exhale to be soft rather than forcing it.
One more together.
Inhaling.
Take a second sniff of air in.
Sigh it out.
Good.
Now continuing at your own pace.
Two inhales through your nose.
And that long,
Easy exhale out your mouth.
No need to breathe aggressively or deeply gentle is enough.
As you continue,
Noticing if your shoulders soften.
Or if your jaw can unclench.
Allowing each exhale to be a small release.
Okay.
If your mind wanders,
Bring it back to your breath.
Two breaths in,
One long breath out.
Try one final round here.
And eventually let your breath return to natural.
Observe how you feel now compared to when you began.
Perhaps there's more space.
Perhaps there's simply a moment of pause.
Sometimes one conscious breath.
Really can change the next moment.
Thank you so much for practicing with me,
And I hope to connect again with you soon.
