And welcome.
To finding safety.
In the body.
This is your time.
A gentle invitation.
To welcome ease.
Back into your body.
However that feels for you right now.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to be.
Simply allow yourself.
To arrive.
So finding somewhere comfortable.
Somewhere you can be undisturbed for a little while.
Perhaps you've got earphones.
A pillow beneath your head.
Anna Blanke.
You may be lying down.
In your bed.
Or sitting comfortably.
In a chair.
Wherever you are.
Let us begin.
By bringing your awareness to the space.
You are in.
Let your eyes move gently around the room.
Noticing everything around you.
And I wonder if you can pick out five things you can see.
Now.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And a long,
Slow breath out.
And again.
A deep breath in.
And a long,
Slow breath out.
One small A deep breath in.
And a long,
Slow breath out.
Now allow your eyes to close.
Whenever that feels right for you.
Bring your awareness to what you can feel.
Perhaps your clothes gently touching your skin.
Or maybe it's the temperature of the air.
The surface beneath you.
Supporting your body.
Now.
Bring your awareness to what you can hear.
You might have music playing on in the background.
Or sounds nearby.
Or out in the distance.
You don't need to name them,
Just notice them.
Calming and going.
To make yourself comfortable.
Gently allow your body to experience all that it needs to for this moment.
Perhaps you will think of something pleasant.
Maybe a peaceful,
Tranquil scene.
Somewhere you've been to before where your body truly felt relaxed.
And all of the muscles of your body.
Began to feel quite limp.
Limp and slack.
The first.
Bring your awareness to the muscles of your head,
Your face.
Just allow them to soften.
Allow them to go limp and slack.
Now.
The muscles around your eyes.
Your jaw,
Your Chi.
Feeling the softness as they begin to relax.
Ever so gently.
Perhaps your teeth parting just a little.
And your tongue resting softly.
Everything feeling quite lively.
Limp and slack.
And now.
The muscles of your neck.
To allow them to relax.
Perhaps feeling as if some warmth is moving down your neck.
Soothing your muscles.
As it moves down into your shoulders.
Letting them drop.
Sinking deeper into the surface beneath you.
And already you can feel a feeling of warmth.
Spreading downwards.
Gentle heaviness.
Beginning to move through you,
A heaviness of relaxation.
Just allowing it to come in its own way.
And allowing yourself to go with it.
Cause you know.
You are in your place.
Of safety.
And relaxation.
And as you do so You are becoming drowsier and drowsier.
You are feeling completely at peace.
Your mind is calm and contented.
And you are really enjoying this,
Very pleasant.
Drowsy feelings And now.
That feeling of relaxation.
Is spreading down through your chest.
Your body.
And your bath.
Just allowing all the muscles.
To soothe,
To relax.
Just allowing them to go limp.
And slack.
And you can feel a wonderful feeling.
Of heaviness in your body.
A wonderful feeling of relaxation.
As though your body is wanting to sink.
Ciao.
Deeper.
And deeper.
Allow your body to become so beautifully comfortably happy.
And as it does so You are feeling drowsy and drowsy.
Just allow yourself to relax.
More and more completely.
You are feeling warm and comfortable.
Completely.
At peace.
Now.
That pleasant feeling of relaxation.
Spreading down through your arms.
As you allow your arms to become heavy.
Allowing them to go limp.
And slap.
Allow them to relax.
As you feel that wonderful feeling of heaviness in your arms,
So wonderfully heavy.
Allow your arms to go heavy.
Allow them to relax completely.
And now.
The muscles of your stomach.
Softening Letting go.
And slap.
And further down now the muscles of your thighs.
Allow them to relax.
Allow them to go limp.
And slap.
Now.
The muscles of your calves.
Allow them to go limp and slack.
Allow them to relax.
And finally.
.
.
The muscles of your feet and ankles.
Allow them to go completely limp and slack.
Sinking deeper and deepen to relaxation And you can feel a feeling of heaviness throughout.
Your whole body.
Now.
Your whole body completely at ease from the crown of your head all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Completely heavy Leave me,
Eddie.
Grounded and still.
You are now all the way deep down and comfortable.
Breathing freely.
And easily.
And you will find that the sound of my voice will help you to relax.
Ever more deeply.
As we.
And perhaps things have felt overwhelming in your body lately.
Perhaps it has been trying to get your attention.
Perhaps bringing feelings of anxiety.
Frustration,
Discomfort.
Or a tiredness that runs quite deep.
That intensity,
Isn't your body turning against you?
It's speaking to you,
A signal that something needs a response.
And the most powerful response you can offer.
Isn't more effort.
Or more pushing through.
It is rest.
Real rest.
The kind that finally lets.
That signal land somewhere.
And be answered.
This kind of rest is not collapse.
It isn't giving up.
It is something you do on purpose.
The way you might gently set something down.
Rather than drop it.
We can call this active rest.
A rest you choose and create.
Rather than one you wait for.
Or fall into.
I wonder.
.
.
If you can imagine.
You can sense,
See,
Or feel that you are.
Near a beach,
A beach that is quiet.
With soft sand beneath your feet.
The sound of the sea.
Moving steadily in.
And out.
Notice the color of the water.
The light on the surface.
The particular sound the tide makes as it reaches the shore.
And then draws back again.
And as you walk along the sand.
You notice.
You have been carrying something.
Shells.
Many of them.
Gathered over a long time.
Each one.
Something you have held for someone else.
Some heavier than others.
Some you have carried for so long.
You had almost forgotten.
You were holding them at all.
Now.
One by one.
You begin placing them down.
Onto the sand.
There is no rush.
And no particular order.
Just you.
Gently setting each one down exactly.
Where it lands.
You don't have to need to know.
What they eat for.
You just know and your unconscious knows that you are putting these down.
Letting them go And as each shell touches the sand.
The tide gently moves in.
Soft.
And unhurried.
And carries the shell back out to sea.
You don't have to do anything more than that.
The sea takes care of the rest.
So place another shell down.
Let it go.
Watch the water draw it gently away.
Notice if you can.
A small sense of lightness each time.
And perhaps even a quiet joy.
And finally,
Being able to put something down.
And I'm just going to leave you here for a moment as you keep doing this.
For as long as it feels good.
Placing a shell down.
Releasing.
LATIN CAR And watching the tide carry each one.
Away.
In its own time.
You may even find you are placing shells down for things you cannot control.
Whether it's pain in your body.
Or a feeling in your chest.
We're just placing them down.
And allowing the ocean.
In its soft,
Calming way.
To wash it.
Notice now just the rhythm of the sea itself.
And.
.
.
And out.
Slow,
Steady.
Certain.
Let your own breath start to match that rhythm.
Breathing in as the tide comes in.
Breathing out as it draws back out again.
With every wave.
Your body can settle.
A little further.
Every muscle.
Every part of you.
That has been bracing,
Holding.
Staying ready.
Can soften.
Just a little more.
Hmm.
And out there is nowhere else.
You need to be.
This rhythm has always been here.
Patient.
And unhurried.
And it will carry on.
Long after you've placed down everything you needed to.
As you rest here.
You can let your body know.
In whatever way feels true for you.
That it is safe to soften now.
You are not what you carry.
You are not the people who rely on you.
Or the things you organize.
Or the role you play for everyone else.
Underneath all of that?
There is a simple you.
And you.
Just.
As you are.
Deserve this rest.
As much as anyone.
You have ever cared for.
Let the sand hold you.
Let the sound of the sea hold you.
You don't have to hold yourself up right now.
And perhaps you have already begun to notice.
That's simply by allowing yourself this time.
This calm.
You already doing something kind for yourself.
And as you practice this.
Each time you return to this place.
You are going to become so much more mentally calm.
So much more clear in your mind.
Which means that you are going to be able to think more clearly.
See things more clearly.
Allowing you to be more compassionate towards yourself.
So that nothing and no one.
Will ever be able to affect you.
Or concern you.
In quite the same way.
Your mind becomes more and more clear.
Crystal clear.
Allowing you to feel physically more relaxed too.
Not only in your body but relaxed about yourself.
And about the world around you.
And as the days,
The weeks,
The months go by.
And you become ever more calm and clear in your mind.
Ever more relaxed.
In your body.
It will be perfectly natural.
That you are going to be able to cope better.
With anything.
And anybody.
And any situation you want to handle.
In your daily life.
And because you are coping more calmly.
More and more confidently too.
Because you have greater compassion for yourself.
Greater compassion for the way you think.
Greater compassion for the way that you feel.
And greater compassion for the way you do things.
The way you behave.
Every day.
You are going to experience a greater feeling of well-being.
Physical.
As well as emotional well-being.
A greater sense of safety and security too.
More than you have experienced.
In such a long,
Long while.
For all together.
You may begin to feel as if Await.
A burden.
Has been lifted from you.
Allowing you to live your life in a way that is so much more compassionate.
Accepting.
And beneficial.
For you.
In a few moments time.
You will begin to Bring yourself gently back.
And before you do.
Notice how it feels to have set.
Some of it down.
You can return to this beat and this rhythm anytime you choose.
So as I count,
From 1 to 10.
And when I reach the count of eight,
You can open your eyes,
But not before.
And when I reach the count of 10,
You will be back in your space,
In the present moment,
Feeling refreshed,
Feeling calm.
So one two three As you begin to notice the surface beneath you.
Four,
Five,
Six,
Noticing the sounds in the room.
And the weight of your body resting comfortably.
Seven eight You can open your eyes.
9,
10,
Take a nice deep breath in for me.
Knowing that you can carry the sense of calm gently with you.
Take all the time you need.
Rest easy.
Sending love.
