This is a simple practice for anyone who is new to meditation or anyone who wishes to listen to a guided meditation which focuses on breath and relaxing the body. Guidance is given at the beginning and end of the meditation. A silent space is offered in the middle of the meditation for listeners to explore the breath and stillness. Gentle music plays in the background.

Welcome.

Find a comfortable position and settle in.

Let's close the eyes and begin to turn our attention inward.

Let's take a deep inhale together and exhale,

Let it go.

Begin to relax the physical body and begin to bring your attention into this present moment.

Relax the shoulders,

The jaw.

Relax the hands,

The feet.

And for the next few moments,

Try to focus on the breath,

Breathing any way that is comfortable for you.

Recognize the in-breath and recognize the out-breath.
