This meditation practice helps calm the mind. Teacher guidance is provided near the beginning and end of the meditation. A long space of silence is provided in the middle of the meditation so listeners can meditate without interruption. Soft music plays throughout the entire meditation. Points of focus are awareness of breath and the present moment.

Hello.

Let's find a comfortable position and close the eyes.

Let's take these first few moments and settle in.

Begin to relax the shoulders,

The jaw,

And the belly.

Begin to allow yourself to be here now.

Let's take a breath together.

Deep inhale.

And exhale,

Let it go.

Again,

Deep inhale.

And exhale,

Release the breath.

Last time,

Deep inhale.

And exhale,

Let it go.

Notice how only a few moments of breathing consciously already begins to quiet the mind.

Notice how only a few moments of breathing with awareness begins to relax the body.

Over the next few moments,

Continue to breathe with awareness,

Recognizing the inhale and the exhale.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

And exhale,

Let it go.

Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Come back to the place where you are.

Let's take a breath together.

Deep inhale.

And exhale,

Let it go.

Awareness of breath occupies the mind and quiets the mind and allows us to find and remain in the present moment.

When you are ready,

Gently blink the eyes open.
