Welcome to this meditation for releasing emotions.
Emotions are usually trapped energy which is stored in our body and every time something from the outside world matches the frequency of that emotion,
It is then being triggered and it is coming up to bring us messages about ourselves and also to help us to release it.
This stored emotional energy was probably created a long time ago but because we might have not dealt with it in the past,
Every time it comes up we might want to avoid it or suppress it or distract ourselves from it.
But all that the emotions want us to do is to let them be expressed and released.
They want us to notice something that will help us move on.
Now sit in a comfortable position or lie down whichever way feels good to you.
Bring your attention to your breath and take a deep breath in and let yourself sink in this moment.
Feel your body softening and start feeling grounded,
Supported by the earth in this present moment.
Bring your awareness to the emotion which you wish to release.
It can be fear,
Anger,
Frustration,
Shame or anything that you've been feeling and acknowledge the emotion softly,
Name it and give it just space to be.
Let it come up and let it be there without resisting it.
Notice where in your body it appears and welcome it with compassion by holding space for it.
Now ask the emotion what does it want you to know in order for it to be released?
What is its purpose for having been there?
Take with you whatever insights or information you picked up and if you didn't hear any messages that's ok.
You may wish to pause and give more time or you can continue.
Ask your higher self if it is wanting to release the emotion.
Feel the freedom,
Ease and lightness that letting go will bring you.
When you are ready say to yourself let go and feel the lightness and feel the opening and release of energy taking place.
Let the emotion come up and feel it releasing and going into the earth being purified by the earth's healing energy.
Notice the space which has been created,
The relaxation and the opening of your heart that has taken place now.
Imagine yourself in the future and how you are now that this emotion has been let go of.
How are you feeling?
Can you imagine how different your reality and everyday life is now?
Let yourself feel all the emotions and sensations that you would feel.
Are you doing things with more ease?
Are your relationships benefited through this experience?
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Take a deep breath in and on the exhale imagine that whatever is remaining of the emotion is being released as you are now.
Now notice if there is anything left of the emotion and if there is ask it what else does it need in order to let go.
Take that insight with you and feel your body being surrounded by a white bright healing light which goes all around your presence and all the way into your cells bringing you a healing and cleansing energy that restores you and brings you back to your centre.
Slowly bring your attention back to the room that you are in.
Start away wiggling your fingers and toes and when you are ready open your eyes and know that you can return to this meditation anytime you feel like you want to release further.
