Reduce Your Physical And Mental Clutter In Ten Steps

Por Tony Brady

Comece o Dia 1
O que você irá aprender
Students will be helped to deal with clutter, physical, mental and electronic. They will be aided in dealing with relationship and emotional clutter including the drifting on of long term but worn out commitments. They will be encouraged to deal with physical clutter in an environmentally responsible way. See how difficult tasks can be broken into manageable sections. There is a section on serious end of life issues that need attention in order to have more peace of mind. Finally having gained clarity and time the question is asked "What will we do with the time we have saved?"

During this 10-day your will receive guidance on how to clear your clutter. Clutter can be held in our minds, and so many things need our attention. And we can find ourselves surrounded by household clutter, so many possessions reminding us of our state of disorder and our need to straighten things out. Here is your invitation to turn the key on...

Lição 1
Manage Your Email Clutter
See how keeping control of your email will save you time. This session also reminds you about the importance of passwords and internet security
Lição 2
The Clutter Assortment
Before moving on in session 3 to tackle the disorder here is an opportunity to consider what types of clutter you might have and see what you might do with it when it is sorted. Check in all those nooks and crannies.
Lição 3
Dealing with Household Clutter
It is impossible to think clearly or work efficiently in the midst of confusion. In this session you will plan to set about the task of sorting out your clutter, space by space, room by room until you achieve your goal.
Lição 4
Use Lists and a Diary to Keep Your Affairs in Order
In this session, as an aid to clarity we shake our notes into order, some in our heads, some on paper, some saved electronically. We consider what do we when we receive a request to undertake a new commitment and we see how keeping a planning diary will reduce the clutter we hold in our heads.
Lição 5
Figure Your Optimum Time of Day for Important Work
When it comes to getting things done do you prefer to rise with the larks or work with the owls? Have you figured out your optimum time of day? To help overcome procrastination this lesson helps you find out your optimum time for creative and energetic work so you can organise your schedule to match.
Lição 6
Dealing With Relationship And Emotional Clutter
In this session, you will be helped with managing relationship and emotional clutter and you are invited to question commitments which are rolling on just because they have been rolling on. You will also be reminded of the importance of taking care of your existing friends. To have a good friend you must be a good friend.
Lição 7
Clutter And The Planet
In this section, we examine how we can achieve our decluttering aims while at the same time playing our part in protecting the environment. Is our clutter resulting in a situation where we buy something which we already have? How can we best deal with things which we no longer require? Do we need to buy less?
Lição 8
Break Down A Task Into Manageable Parts
See how every seeming impossibility can be divided into a number of steps each of which is possible. This will help you tackle any task including decluttering. Even spending 10 minutes breaking down a task into manageable sections will set you on course to complete even the most difficult and troublesome job.
Lição 9
Serious Issues That We Tend Not To Want To Face Serious Issues
We look at how you can ease your mind by putting your affairs in order. We look at the importance of sorting your papers, making a will, making known your funeral wishes, organising an enduring power of attorney, and giving thought to the idea of a Health Care Directive. These steps will make things easier for your loved ones later on.
Lição 10
Now, What Will You Do With The Time You Have Saved?
Congratulations! It is time to give yourself a pat on the back. You have stuck with it. You have examined how you might clear your clutter. Hopefully you will have made some progress, gained some space and some time. Now the question: "What will you do with the space and the time you have saved?"

This course is very helpful to me. One area at a time and one step at a time will keep me on the path that I want to travel! My home is new to my family this year and it can feel overwhelming at times. We’re setting up the space, routines and habits in this environment. It’s fun when I keep sight of the one thing I’m doing and breathe into it....

Tony Brady is a very wise man! Thank you Tony for bringing us this pragmatic, interesting, thoughtful and very helpful course. I will be coming back to listen again. I have some clutter of my own. Some stuff that has followed me for years. I hate just throwing things away. I try my best to donate, and have donated boxes of stuff. My Dad is a bit...

Many thanks Tony for addressing this problem of our times...too much stuff and clutter. Really helpful advice and practical suggestions which have motivated me and will help me keep going with clearing the decks. Some of these tasks are hard to do. I started sorting through a box of letters and photographs, plenty of rabbit holes to disappear down...
