Welcome to this meditation which is designed to bring you to a state of rest and calm.
Each of us is blessed to be here today.
For this we are filled with gratitude.
Let us begin by making sure we are in a safe and comfortable position for rest.
Making sure we can't fall out of our seat or resting place.
And checking that anything requiring to be switched off or secured is attended to before we begin.
And you may pause this playback at any time if you need to check on something that crosses your mind.
Let's take a deep breath in,
Receiving this life-giving air.
And then breathing out with gratitude.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in gently and calmly.
Breathing out with contentment.
We are blessed to be here.

Now let our bodies relax into the chair or bed.
Paying attention to any part that is un-relaxed.
As you breathe out,
Let that part relax as well.
Breathing in relaxation.
Breathing out contentedly.
Feeling so grateful for these moments.
Letting everything just be.
Letting the chair or the bed take all of our weight.
Tension released.
Feeling peacefully supported by the good earth.
All is fine in these few moments.
Rest brings such renewal.
Restoring our body and mind.
Letting go.
Feeling be.
Feeling a sense of gratitude.
Feeling peace.
Feeling blessed.
Feeling calm.
Feeling content.
In these few moments,
All is well.
We do our best.
Now we rest.
