Lição 1
The Big Picture
This first module sets the scene for the course, explaining the core principles we are talking about–lovingkindness and intention sending–setting these in context with a meditation practice that allows us to connect with our hearts, willing lovingkindness and impact for others. We specifically explore what is meant by the idea of "dwelling in the heart," and take steps to move between what is going on in the mind to focus attention on what we are feeling in the heart.
Lição 2
Dealing With Doubt
This module sheds light on some of the theory about what we are talking about in order to help mitigate any doubts we may have about the power within us to heal and have impact. Research into the effects of intention, scientific studies, and common themes in the teachings of several faith traditions are touched upon, as we build upon the steps introduced in the first module to connect with the power available to us.
Lição 3
Making The Connection
In this module, we explore what it means to really yearn for something, and consider whether we can truly empathise with what others are feeling in situations that we haven’t experienced ourselves. We consider how we can clearly define what it is we want to happen, applying vital principles that can help in this process, and working through a number of examples to help illustrate how we might put these principles into practice. We then apply what we've learned and may affirm, continuing to build upon the steps introduced in the previous two modules.
Lição 4
Sustaining The Practice
In this fourth module, we work through the entire process of tuning into and sending intention, considering how we can sustain attention as we do so. We look at principles to be mindful of while sustaining intention, and turn our attention to the powerful effects that intention holding can have on us, noting steps we can take to make sure we come out gently from what is a strongly energy-focused approach to meditation and in a way that leaves us feeling re-energized.
Lição 5
Joyful Moments
This final module reminds us of the joys of willing lovingkindness for ourselves, as we aim to dwell more fully and more regularly in the heart, where we may find a sense of wholeness, peace, and happiness. We reflect upon the experience of connecting with others at a heart-to-heart level, and the wonder and beauty of sharing in their joy when we learn that impacts we’ve willed for, or better, have come to be.
