A gently guided meditation for a deep desire that you will for yourself, for others, or for the world. Accompanied by beautiful anchoring music, this meditation aims to help you ground, center, feel into and sustain your focus on a specific intention that you wish to work with. Be guided through this simple process as you will for a heart-led impact in your own life or the lives of others.

Welcome to this guided intention meditation.

The aim of this meditation is to work with an intention,

A desire,

A yearning that you have already defined.

If you're coming to intention work for the first time,

You might like to familiarise with the concept.

I have recorded a guidance to this practice available also on Inside Timer.

At least it's important to have pre-thought what your intention is and to have defined this in a very specific and bounded way.

What we're trying to do with an intention is to focus very specifically on an outcome that you desire.

This may be for yourself,

For another person,

For a group,

For a place,

For a situation,

For an animal or indeed for anything that has life.

What we are aiming to do with an intention focus is to communicate,

To send out a very clear message to the universe about what it is that we want to have an impact on.

Each of us,

Depending on our world view and what we feel comfortable with,

Will have a different way of doing this.

So in this meditation we will talk about prayer,

About having a clear thought,

A feeling,

About healing or just sending energy and having a very clear vision of what it is that you want to affect.

Whichever of these you feel resonates most strongly with you will be relevant for you.

So initially,

Taking a moment or two just to arrive,

Separating yourself from anything that might be preoccupying you,

Any activity you've been engaged in,

Trying as best you can to set aside thoughts about what has been,

Thoughts about what may be to come later in the day.

Really resolving in this moment to be present and to focusing your full attention on feeling into and sending this intention out into the universe.

Noticing your connection with the ground,

The surface below you,

Might be a seat that you are sitting on or a couch or a bed or a floor or the physical ground.

Noticing the reassuring presence,

The anchoring that that provides,

Almost as the energy rises up to meet you,

Feeling secure.

Coming into a comfortable position but one in which you're not going to be easily distracted and also one in which you're not likely to fall into a sleep.

One in which you are alert,

One in which you are able to exercise maximum attention and concentration.

And as with any meditation,

In this practice if you find yourself being distracted at any time,

As soon as you notice that you are,

Of course,

Coming back to the purpose of the meditation.

In other words,

To focus fully on your intention.

Settling into this time and coming to a point at which you feel at peace.

Finding an anchor point within in which to hold your attention.

Typically this might be in the heart area,

Not necessarily in the physical heart but in that general area.

As you feel into this point of connection,

Remembering that the heart is a very powerful instrument with an intelligence and power of its own able to radiate strong powerful messages into the universe.

And knowing that there are no limitations on time and space in which the messages that you send can be received.

As you settle now,

I will talk through a number of affirmations,

Beliefs,

Beliefs to take to heart and to hold true.

I begin with untying my own knots of chaos.

I release all that doesn't now serve me.

I focus my mind,

Body and spirit on the intention I desire,

Leaving aside all thoughts,

Feelings,

Doubts and other distractions that do not serve my focus at this moment.

I open myself to connecting with the higher selves of those embraced by my intention to be present with them.

I breathe into my heart,

Allowing myself to be filled with love and light.

I exhale from my heart,

Knowing that as I do so,

I may direct the gift of heart energy to anyone,

Anywhere.

I open my heart wide,

Offering myself as a vessel of loving kindness,

As a conduit of peace.

We connect as one when we share our hearts coherent energy.

I focus on my intention.

I tune in,

Fully aligning myself with the vibration of my intention as I visualize its impact.

I begin my practice centered,

Unburdened and connected to all.

And so now bringing your intention fully into your consciousness.

Repeating the words,

Speaking them out loud if that feels comfortable.

Bringing to mind a very clear picture of what the impact,

The outcome of your intention will be.

Seeing it rich in color and texture.

Noticing the emotions,

The behaviors,

The reactions of anyone within this image.

It may be yourself as though you are looking at a movie of yourself in a future state.

Having a sense of the feeling being experienced,

The feelings being experienced perhaps.

Being aware of any sounds,

Smells.

The details that you notice within this moving image.

And allowing yourself to connect deeply within.

Feeling into the heart,

Feeling even deeper still into the sacral area,

That area of yearning.

As you open up to really allow your desire to form,

To build for this outcome.

And now through whatever means is meaningful to you,

Through prayer,

Through saying the words,

Through maintaining this image,

This powerful thought.

And knowing that thoughts themselves communicate energy through healing,

Through really feeling into this desire.

It may be it helps to use a hand gesture,

Holding out your hand in front of you,

Stretching out your arm and moving it backwards and forwards to as though you were pushing this desire on its way.

Really willing it to connect with the universe.

Or if you prefer,

If the term is more meaningful with God,

With all that is,

With spirit,

With your higher self,

With the higher selves of those you wish to see blessed,

See impacted by your intention.

Continuing with this practice for a moment or two now.

Returning to give your full attention if you feel distracted at any point.

And find your mind wandering.

Believing that what you are willing is already having impact,

Is already bringing about change.

Feeling grateful as you hold on to this image,

This moving image of the outcome you desire.

Grateful for the benevolence of the universe.

Or if you prefer,

The divine of spirit that allows this to be.

So now taking a moment or two to let go this desire,

Trusting that it is so.

Gently now taking a moment or two to allow yourself to be free of the strong energy that you might have felt.

The following word you might offer as a prayer or just to express gratitude for this connection and whatever intermediary,

Be it the universe or any divine power that you feel has played its part.

I stand before you,

Divine power of all I am,

Grateful for all we have blessed and healed together.

Now I let go of the energy that I have received.

May anything that doesn't benefit me,

Leave me now.

May I feel refreshed and lifted up from anything draining,

Remembering to self-care and rest once these words are spoken.

Closing all now that has been opened,

Expectedly or unexpectedly.

And allowing my energy levels to come back,

To return to normal levels.

I am at peace and I am blessed.

And so it is.

And so now very gently taking a moment or two just to become aware of where you are physically at the moment.

Perhaps the place where you are sitting,

Noticing any sounds in the background,

Any sensations you are feeling.

Gently becoming aware of being within a physical body.

And when you are ready,

Opening your eyes.

If this is your first time coming to work with an intention,

It may be that you want to allow a little time for this to work,

To repeat the practice.

And finding your way into it,

Finding how best you feel able to communicate,

To send your vibration,

Your desire,

Your yearning in a very clear way for the universe to hear.

You should find that you express,

You feel into,

Your feeling of the intention that you have is much stronger,

This desire,

This communication,

This message that you are putting out.

If you firmly believe in the affirmations that we work through in the meditation.

So worth reviewing those again and taking them to heart,

Really believing and trusting that this process can work.

There is a huge body of evidence that's been built up through thousands and thousands of experiences over many years that I referred to in the introduction to the power of intention elsewhere on Inside Timer.

You might like to remember that it's not so much about the time you dedicate to sending this intention,

But how well prepared you are,

How clear your intention is.

Is it unambiguous,

Very clear to the universe what it is that you want to bring about?

And also how strongly do you feel into this?

How strongly is your yearning,

Your desire?

The universe or the divine if you like is outside of time and space and so can hear as it were receive in an instant.

And that I believe is also true of the higher selves of others as well as of ourselves.

So time spent to settle into the meditation,

To allow yourself to be very focused,

To feel into the strength of this desire is time well spent.

So taking time to feel into the strength of this desire,

To settle,

To be centred as we have done in this meditation is important.

And this is something that you might want to practice,

Especially if you found your mind wandering in order to become more mindful,

More able to sustain your focus.

I am sure that with practice you will soon discover the power of communicating with intention.

Thank you so much, Clive. What a generous practice this is. I hope I will grow more focused with repeated listenings. Today has been a difficult one and this first listening was effortful. But I do feel more centered and calm. And more at peace with a world of some struggle. I feel stronger.
