In this guided meditation, I invite you to come along into the forest. You want to listen to this while out on a walk if your mind is too busy for you to drop in by yourself, or if you are new to the practice. We use our different senses to connect with the forest, and after seven minutes, I invite you to continue the exploration on your own. Be well and enjoy, much love!

Forest bathing.

I have an invitation for you.

Go for a walk.

Put on a comfortable pair of shoes or go without shoes.

Listen to this recording and then leave your phone at home.

I take it with you so you can listen along the way.

When you get to the green,

Whether it's a park or a deep lush forest,

Take a deep slow inhale and exhale with a sigh.

Let that sigh be audible.

It reminds your nervous system that it is safe to relax when you do so.

Take a moment to stand there and look around.

Notice what you see.

The trees,

The path,

The grass or brush or moss or dried needles and leaves and roots.

Notice the light,

The humidity or dryness.

The wind or the absence of a breeze.

What sounds can you differentiate?

Any birds?

Any animals rustling through the leaves?

Insects in the air?

Any birds?

Any insects in the air?

What smells can you differentiate?

Any birds?

Any insects?

Any insects?

Any insects?

Any plants?

Any plants?

Any flowers or fruits?

Any plants?

Any plants?

Any plants?

Any plants?

Any fruits?

Freshness?

And then feel inside.

What effects does this environment have on you?

Slowly wander.

Take your time.

Appreciate the little things you can discover.

A beautiful rock.

A ray of sunlight falling through the trees.

A cloud in a particular shape.

A little bird passing by.

And scrolling across the floor.

Notice changes inside yourself as well.

As you continue along your path.

Can you feel yourself bathing in the forest?

Do you allow yourself to bathe in the forest?

Or are you merely walking through?

Give yourself permission to be fully present.
