Sleep tight,

A spoken lullaby.

Take a deep breath with me dear one.

And exhale it with a sigh.

Another one deep inhale.

And a third one inhale.

Exhale.

And then just notice what sensations can you perceive in your physical body right now.

Where is your wonderful body asking for attention?

Maybe there is a pulling somewhere in your back.

Maybe you've been working hard.

And some loving energy there.

Simply by intending your breath energy to reach that part of your body.

Allow that feeling to be there.

In whichever part of your body it resides.

Give it some space.

And then check what else may be asking for attention.

And allow that to be there.

There is no need to label it as good or bad.

As something wanted or unwanted.

Because if we want it and get attached to it,

Then it starts escaping.

And if we don't want it and we try to push it away,

It persists.

And we just allow the experience to come and go as it does.

And give it some space.

And then check in with your wonderful mind.

This beautiful strong tool of logic that can serve you so well.

Yet sometimes it seems to go into wild overdrive mode.

And maybe we start getting anxious or preoccupied or even fearful.

Sometimes when we've allowed it to race a bit too much.

We started going along for the wild ride instead of just enjoying it from a bit of a distance.

Noticing the thoughts that come up.

And not necessarily buying into them and following their storylines.

So can we lean back a little and watch those thoughts pass by as if they were on a big movie screen.

We just get to watch and enjoy.

No need to judge or label them either.

We can just watch them pass by.

And if one of them does end up carrying you away,

Just come back to your breath.

Make your exhales slightly longer to help your nervous system calm down.

A lot of the time we spend our days more in an active,

Wired state than in a state of relaxation.

So take this time to give your body a chance to deliberately relax by lengthening your exhales and by softening your edges.

With your next inhale,

Check in on what emotions are running through your body right now.

What is present in this moment.

And also here,

No need to judge.

Emotions are just a feedback language of our body.

The most direct feedback system that we have about our interpretation of the world around us.

Our body is so wise,

Yet a lot of the time we shut that connection down because we'd rather not feel something.

Or we feel like we shouldn't feel something.

Or we desperately want to feel something else.

But also here,

What we resist persists.

So can we just give it some space,

Whatever is here.

Whether there is sadness or contentment.

Whether there is anger or joy.

Whether there is melancholy or peace or relief or sweet bliss.

Allow whatever you feel to be here.

When we allow our emotions space,

They can wash through us.

If we allow ourselves to feel them,

They can help us understand the feedback.

And they wash us clean,

They cleanse us.

We can ride those emotions like waves.

We know they only last for a while.

Even though our mind sometimes likes to make us believe otherwise,

The less we resist what is present in a given moment,

The more easily it will pass through us.

Take another deep breath here dear one.

Exhale release it with a sigh.

Soften a little more.

Find the area in your pelvis that grounds you to the floor.

That grounds you to the earth.

With every inhale,

You can pull up a little bit of energy from the earth.

And with every exhale you can release everything that doesn't serve you any longer.

And there is no need to worry about giving it to the earth.

Because it is all just energy.

And that energy can get absorbed and transmuted by the earth.

Whatever it is,

It's all just energy.

Release your burden.

Let go of the load that you carry.

Mother earth has got you back.

She nurtures you and she holds you.

You can trust in her.

You are safe here in this space.

You are safe to feel your feelings and to just let them pass through you.

You are safe to relax here.

Start sinking into the back of your body.

Allow your forehead to soften.

Allow your eyes to soften.

Soften your jaw.

Relax your scalp.

Release your shoulders.

Soften your rib cage.

Soften your belly.

And release those hips.

Soften the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet.

Release.

Allow everything to fade into the background as you sink into the back of your body.

Become really still here.

You are safe to relax here.

You are safe to let go.

You are safe to surrender to the beautiful natural state of relaxation.

Let the earth's energy carry you.

Let it softly hug you.

Let it rock you into a slumber.

Let it comfort you.

Let it caress you like a warm hand on your cheek.

You are nurtured.

You are cared for.

And you are so,

So loved.

Sleep tight dear one.

May you rest well.
