Energy protection.
Many of us take on emotions from other people,
Take on energy from other people.
Sometimes we're aware of it and sometimes that may go unconsciously for a while until we realize,
Wait,
That is not my natural state,
That's not what I want to feel like.
Where did that come from?
Oh,
I took on that person's anger or sadness or I let that influence me.
There is a practice that we can do if we tend to take on others' energy too much.
It's called energy protection.
I sometimes like to call it energy bubble.
We start with just getting centered within our being.
So I want to invite you to find that sweet spot in your heart space,
That soul center.
Sometimes I like to envision it like a little light in there.
Maybe you want to place a hand on your heart and take a deep breath here.
Exhale,
Relax.
Take another one.
Exhale,
Relax.
Good.
And then that little light in your heart space,
With every inhale,
Let that become a little bit brighter.
If you would like a little bit of extra energy for that,
Just envision that coming in from the crown of your head as well as from the bottom of your spine.
You can draw energy both from the earth and from the skies.
Just with every inhale,
Imagine that there is a little bit more energy coming in through the crown and through the base.
And with every exhale,
Imagine how that is being amplified in your heart space and shining out.
Inhale,
Light is coming in.
Exhale,
Your heart space is shining brighter.
Repeat that a few more times.
Exhale,
Light is coming in.
Beautiful.
And when that light is really bright,
I want you to reach out your arms in your head.
You can also do it physically as you wish.
Just see how much they reach in each direction around you.
What is the size of your energetic space or one of the boundaries of your energetic space that you can define?
And we'll define it with everything within that reach is your energy.
You decide on the energy within that space and everything outside of that,
That can be other people's energy.
Other people are allowed to have whatever emotions and energy outside of your bubble that they have and that they need to process.
They cannot pass into your energy space.
I like to envision it just as a like little bouncy bubble around me.
It's not that I cannot get impacted at all.
I can choose what I let in.
For anything that I choose to not let in,
That's where the barrier is.
The beautiful thing about that energy bubble is that it adjusts with the space that is between you and another person.
Which means if this is a person very near to you and you're often in close contact,
That energy bubble will adjust to the space in between you.
If you're standing close in front of each other,
There is still the boundary of this is your energetic space and this is my energetic space.
All the way to where you can even touch,
You can still have your own energetic space as long as you choose to.
The first stage is just practicing to strengthen that energetic bubble by yourself and just be with it.
When you can feel that clearly,
Then you can remind yourself a few times throughout the day that you have this bubble.
Also in the moments when maybe you don't need it.
Just so you become used to being aware of it and then it will also be available when you need it.
So I invite you to stay here for a while longer and just feel your energetic bubble whenever it seems to lessen and you can always pull in more energy from your crown and from your root.
Bringing in new energy with your inhale and radiating that energy in your exhale.

And then say to yourself,
I own my energetic space.
I own my energy bubble.
