Welcome to this mini meditation designed to fit in when you need a break.

So we'll begin with three bells.

So we can start with gently closing the eyes down if that feels safe to you.

And just letting your shoulders relax down now.

You don't even have to try,

Just let them go.

Because there's absolutely no way you have to go now,

Except inside.

There's no one you have to be but yourself and there's nothing to do except relax and enjoy this present moment.

So allowing yourself to take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

And as you breathe in and out,

Just enjoying that breath.

Letting go of expectations,

Letting go of hopes,

Because it really doesn't matter in this moment.

All you have to do is relax and breathe deeply.

And letting go of the days so far,

Letting go of the past,

The future and being in the now.

And relaxing the muscles around your eyes,

Letting the eyelids be soft.

This moment of stillness is just for you.

And feeling the heaviness in the body as it relaxes down.

And perhaps you can just bring a little smile to your lips.

You don't have to try,

Just if it comes let it be there.

Feeling the temperature of the air against your skin.

Breathing.

The simple pleasure of just being makes you smile.

And as you relax your shoulders you can notice the spaciousness in your heart,

Across your chest relaxing into space and stillness.

And sense that relaxation from your shoulders spreading down,

All the way down the arms into the fingers.

And that soothing wave of relaxation spreading from the shoulders and the arms and becoming heavier in the legs.

Your toes feeling so relaxed now.

Feels good to just take a break.

Remember as you breathe that there's a beautiful sky above you.

You can just know that this beautiful sky,

Whatever colour it is,

Is spacious.

And it accepts you being who you are now.

Just taking a break.

And perhaps you can remember that the ground below you will never judge you.

It will only support you.

And as you feel that heaviness in your body and perhaps the sense of gravity pulling you down to relax you can notice that supportiveness in your body.

And you can remember that the sea is always there.

Whether you're near it or far from it you can imagine calm waves lapping at the shore.

They're being and flowing just like the breath.

And perhaps you can bring to mind as you relax these beautiful beings and creatures of the sky,

The ground and the sea.

Maybe you can picture a gorgeous butterfly with all its bright colours.

Or a graceful dolphin dipping in and out of the waves.

Perhaps your favourite tree grounded and spreading its branches towards the sky.

And you can be like them now.

Nothing much to do except be yourself.

You can imagine yourself in one of these places.

Either sitting on a cloud in the sky or relaxing on a sandy beach or in a field.

Wherever you like.

It's up to you.

Maybe you'd even like to be in the sea there.

Feeling the waves.

Calm.

At whatever pace you pick.

Just make sure it's just you and nature.

And enjoy that connection with the earth.

And perhaps you can relax even more now.

As you know that you don't have to try to be yourself.

You just have to let go.

Focus on the soothing feeling of letting your shoulders just drop now.

You can take a break from everything except breathing.

You can enjoy serenity within.

Just smile inside.

As you sense that freedom of just letting go.

If you need to try or think,

Just let go.

Feel the spaciousness in your heart as your shoulders relax down.

Enjoying that stillness of being you.

It helps to know that you can take these breaks whenever you choose to just be with yourself.

Feeling stillness and calm.

It's good to just breathe.

Breathing in and out and noticing that soothing breath.

When you're ready to start your day after this lovely pause.

Just take with you the fruits of this time all by yourself and re-emerge with a brightness in your body.

Just let the sparkle in your eyes and spaciousness in your heart.

And remember to smile when you come back.

You can always be yourself.

You can always return to this beautiful safe soothing calm place within you.

It's always there.

You can dip into it during the day whenever you need to.

Just enjoying these final moments of stillness.

And remembering that all you ever have to be is just who you are.

Namaste.

Listening on a plane was a challenge. I will repeat the experience soon for better relaxation.
