This is a micro-practice to help you with transitions that you make during the day.
Throughout the day we move between activities constantly.
From home to work,
From one meeting to the next,
From screens to conversation,
From planning to action.
These transitions happen so quickly that we can arrive at the next thing still carrying the energy of what came before.
This practice is simply about pausing,
Taking a moment between one thing and the next,
Gathering your attention so you can show up for what's ahead,
Present,
Grounded and ready to engage.
Find a comfortable position,
Let your eyes close or soften your gaze and begin by noticing your breath,
Just three breaths,
Following each one from beginning to end.
Now bring to mind the transition you're making.
What are you stepping away from?
What are you moving towards?
No need to analyze,
Just acknowledge the shift.
Coming back to the breath whenever you notice the mind wandering away.
And now aiming your attention on the breath or on your feet,
On the floor,
Your hands or sounds in the space around you and keeping it there as best you can until you hear the sound of the bell.
