Welcome to this guided meditation for when you feel overstimulated.

My name is Joy Brown and I will be leading you through this meditation.

To begin,

Take a seat or lay down,

Get comfortable and close your eyes.

Start with focusing on your breath,

Breathing in deeply,

Holding for 3 seconds and then exhaling out slowly.

Let your breathing return to normal now.

Picture a valley with flowers and sunshine,

Just a calming,

Happy place.

Hold this image in your mind,

Focusing on the details,

The wind,

The sunshine,

The colors of the flowers.

This is a place where there are no expectations,

Only calming sounds.

Sit,

Walk,

Explore,

Do whatever you feel here.

Take some time for yourself.

If you find yourself getting caught up in other thoughts,

Simply return your focus back to your peaceful valley.

Dig your toes into the soft earth below you.

If you have shoes on in your valley,

Simply take them off.

Focus on how the dirt feels between your toes.

Now I want you to let all the feelings of overwhelm,

Anxiety and any others that you don't want to hold on to go down your body and into the ground.

Just picture them moving down,

Leaving your feet and going into the earth.

A cool breeze blows on you.

Breathe in this cool air,

This energy of peace and calm.

This air energy is light,

Filling your whole body with peace.

Take a moment now to just express gratitude.

Run,

Dance,

Do whatever you want to express your gratitude while in your peaceful valley.

Bring your focus now back to your breath,

Your body.

Slowly start to move and open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me today in this guided meditation on releasing overstimulation.

Blessings.
