Find a comfortable position without any distractions and just settle yourself in.

Make sure you're as comfortable as you can possibly be and really allow your body to sink into the surface beneath you.

Allow your body to take in the support of the cushion beneath you.

Whether you're sitting or lying down,

Really notice all the places your body is being held and supported.

See if you can let your body sink even more into that support.

Letting your mind relax and quiet like you're airing out a room.

Imagine any thoughts airing right out and come back to reality.

The surface beneath you,

Your body breathing,

The sounds around you.

Nothing to do right now except be in this moment.

Give your body,

Mind,

And nervous system permission to take a break,

To calm down.

If a thought pops up in your mind,

No problem.

Just gently bring yourself back to what is actually,

Factually here right now.

The surface underneath you,

Whatever you're touching,

Whether that's material,

Skin,

Or some type of surface.

And your breath as it moves in and out of your nostrils or your mouth.

And now let's take a little scan inside your body and see if you're aware of any sensations,

Tightness,

Tension,

Or tingling.

These sensations might be associated with an emotion or they might just simply be sensations.

And if you're not aware of any sensations in your body,

That's fine too.

Just keep relaxing and breathing and allowing your body to melt into the surface.

If you are aware of any sensations inside,

See if you can just notice them,

Observe them without any story,

Just sensation.

And as you breathe,

Imagine that your breath is like a healing tropical breeze blowing through those sensations.

Soothing your body.

Comforting your mind.

Each breath like a tropical breeze calming your nervous system.

Feeling anything that needs healing.

Every breath like a healing,

Soothing,

Tropical breeze gently blowing through your whole body.

Letting your body really take in the comfort,

The calm,

The soothing.

And you can stay here as long as you like and repeat this process anytime.

Namaste.

Andrea truly has a calming voice that leads me into a deeper meditation. Analogies like "quiet your mind like you're airing out a room" are helpful descriptive devices that ease the mind. I can imagine the warm tropical breeze. Thank you.
