This is a guided meditation for practice number eight,
Defy the lie.
Find your most comfortable seated position.
Begin to settle in and take any last-minute adjustments you need to feel fully rooted in your seat.
Gently close your eyes.
Sensing yourself here in this moment just as you are.
Your sit bones are grounded and from that grounded place lengthen through your spine.
Each vertebrae stacking on the other.
Your back is long and strong.
Your heart is open and undefended.
In this noble posture begin to focus on your breath.
Noticing the breath come in and leave.
Refreshing and releasing.
Since your whole body as it is right now,
Notice what a miracle it is to have your health in this moment.
Your strength in this moment and this time and space for reflection.
Notice how in this moment there is nothing else you need.
You are totally whole and complete.
There's nothing wrong with you and nothing that needs fixing.
In this meditation I will offer some phrases.
The invitation is for you to gently repeat these phrases internally.
I am whole and complete as I am.
My body is whole and complete as it is.
My heart is whole and complete as it is.
My mind is whole and complete as it is.
I am a miracle just as I am.
Sensing now again how in this moment there is nothing additional that you need.
There is nothing wrong and nothing to fix.
And resting now in loving awareness of who you are exactly as you are.
Begin to notice now how this kindness and acceptance creates space in the body,
The heart,
And the mind.
Coming back to the breath and gently opening your eyes.
Namaste.
