Hey there,
Welcome to this meditation practice that is going to help you connect with yourself,
Attune to your emotions and how you're feeling,
And to figure out what you need so that you can come back into balance,
Come back into alignment,
Come back into a state of empowerment within yourself so that you can show up in your life feeling grounded,
Centered,
And feeling at your best.
So you're welcome to sit down for this practice.
You can also lie down for this practice if you'd like.
Maybe cover up your body with a blanket and just make sure that you are showing yourself some love right here in the beginning of this practice by making sure your body feels good.
So sense into your body and you can even ask yourself internally,
Ask your body internally,
Are you comfortable?
Do you need anything to feel more comfortable in this moment?
And give your body a chance to actually respond.
Is your body asking for anything so that it can feel more comfortable?
And then letting yourself deepen your breath,
Beginning to slow down your inhalations and your exhalations.
And as you breathe out,
See if you can feel your body beginning to soften and relax,
Noticing the movement of the breath in your belly.
And see if you can invite your belly to become soft as well,
Letting all of your digestive organs let go a little bit.
And then releasing your jaw.
Feel your shoulders relax.
And breath by breath,
Feeling your entire system,
Including your mind,
Starting to slow down.
The world moves quickly.
So it's really important to give ourselves time to slow down.
Because when we are moving at the pace of the world,
It's impossible to feel ourselves and to know what's really going on inside of us.
So letting your breath,
Your inhalations and exhalations be really slow.
Feel that slow movement of the breath,
Creating slow gentle movement in the body.
And start to feel inwardly.
We've already started checking in with the body,
Noticing if the body is tense or relaxed.
So just take a moment longer with that.
Maybe noticing your ankles or your feet.
Noticing your hands and your fingers.
Checking in with yourself,
Checking in with your body.
And seeing how it's doing in this moment.
And then go a little deeper.
So we could think of the body as a container or a vessel or a vehicle for our essence,
Our inner self,
What some people call the soul.
See if you can go to your essence now that is held by your physical body.
And see how this part of you is doing today.
Some things to consider are how do you feel emotionally?
How's your mind state today?
Do you feel at ease?
Or are you stressed out?
Be curious as you check in with this deep inner self.
Be kind and compassionate as you check in.
And be accepting of what you discover.
How can you embrace yourself with love in this moment?
Continuing to breathe slowly and deeply as you bring your attention home to yourself.
Noticing how you are doing in this moment.
And then lastly,
Ask yourself,
What do I need?
What do I need right now to feel better?
What do I need right now to feel empowered,
To feel balanced,
To feel aligned?
What do I need right now so that I can move back out into my life and be at my best?
Again,
Come back to your breath.
Making mental note of the answers that you received.
And if no answer came,
If you're not sure what you need right now to be at your best,
Take a few pauses throughout the rest of your day to slow down,
To take a deep breath,
And to ask yourself again,
What do I need now?
And see what comes.
You will eventually receive an answer from within.
Now to wrap up this session,
Let one hand or both hands come to rest over your heart.
Or if you'd prefer,
You could rest them over your belly.
Feel the breath flowing in and out beneath your hands.
And come up with an intention.
An intention for yourself,
An intention for the rest of your day.
As you silently state this intention to yourself,
Breathe it in to your heart,
Breathe it into your body.
Let it infuse your energy and guide your way forward into whatever is next.
Let's take one last deep breath in through the nose.
Sigh it out through an open mouth.
Thank you so much for joining me for this little check-in.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
