Welcome to this pause in your day.
A mindful moment to settle and just allow a little bit of quiet and calm.
You may do this anytime you need and I encourage you to do it throughout the day.
Pretty soon this will become a regular practice that you can do on your own.
Just pause.
Take a couple deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
It settles the nervous system and allows us to bring our awareness to the body.
We may sit or stand wherever we happen to be for this mindful moment.
Notice the body in space.
Breath continues on its own.
Notice the feet on the ground.
Notice your whole body strong,
Relaxed in this moment.
If you're standing,
Notice where you are in space with your head reaching upwards,
Your feet grounded to the ground.
And if you're seated,
Notice the weight of your sitting area,
The strength of that foundation.
Then notice your head reaching upward,
Your legs and feet grounding in the earth.
And as you continue noticing your breathing,
Imagine that your back and your head are reaching up on the inhale and settling down on the exhale.
Just observe what is happening in your body.
Observe the breath going in and out.
Observe any sounds around you.
And even observe if there are any thoughts coming to mind.
Just let them come and go.
This is a moment for you to pause.
And continue this for as long as you can.
I encourage you to bring this into your day anywhere you are,
Whether you are in a public place or whether you are at home,
Even if you're driving.
And you may continue this for as long as you wish,
Or you may come back to witnessing what you were doing,
Where you are standing and what needs to happen next,
And then proceed in peace.
