This is a loving kindness meditation that you can do daily to offer yourself and others compassion which really is priceless isn't it?
So begin by finding your comfortable position softly meeting your space here and letting your body just settle into the moment as it is.
See if in this space you can let go of any need to be any different than you are.
You're already here and you're already more than enough.
And then take some breaths that feel really good.
Breathing not because you're trying to breathe but because life is offering it to you and you're simply receiving.
Letting your breath open you,
Soften you and invite you into yourself.
And this is where compassion begins.
With being receptive and open and soft.
With moving into light.
So with each breath feel your presence deepening and that light growing.
And whisper to yourself,
I choose compassion for myself today.
I choose to soften toward myself.
I choose to be a friend to myself.
I choose to offer myself understanding even when I don't have all the answers.
Feeling these words,
These truths and their meaning being woven into the fabric of your body deepening inside you.
Clearing and releasing any ideas that you're here to fix or change yourself.
Reminding you you're here to love yourself.
To meet yourself.
To welcome all that is arising within you.
Continuing to speak to yourself.
I choose to believe I am worthy of kindness.
I choose to hold my struggles with tenderness.
Like holding a loved one that you care about very much.
I choose to remember that I am doing my best with what I have and that is enough.
As these words land in you feel their truth seeping into the places that especially need them most.
These words are balm.
And now let's extend this compassion outward.
Not because you must,
Not because it's required of you.
But because compassion when given freely is like a wave returning to the ocean.
It expands and then it returns to nourish you.
So you might think now of someone you know who might be struggling.
You don't have to fix them or carry them.
Simply hold them lightly in your heart.
In your mind's eye.
And whisper.
May you be met with kindness.
May you know you are not alone.
May you feel loved even in your hardest moments.
Especially in your hardest moments may you feel loved.
May you be held in compassion the way I hold myself today.
Beautiful.
And now imagine sending these words into the world like dandelion seeds catching the wind.
To strangers,
To those you pass on the street.
To those you may never meet.
And to the earth itself.
May we all be met with kindness.
May we all soften towards ourselves and each other.
May we all know that love is still here waiting for us.
Feel the ripples moving through you.
Remembering compassion isn't anything to be forced.
It's something that you are.
And you can rest in this knowing.
And when you're ready to return to your day.
You're returning not as someone who must be compassionate.
But someone who is compassion.
To yourself.
To others.
Just being.
Today you chose compassion.
And that is amazing.
And will make amazing things happen.
Thank you.
And until next time.
Bye for now.
