Begin your day by letting gratitude arise not as a thought, but as a felt sense—leaning into the goodness and beauty already present, appreciating the vessel of being, the blessing of breath, and the quiet miracle of waking up. This meditation invites you to tune into the positive potential of the new day, with words that affirm appreciation and thankfulness, and extend that blessing to all beings on this precious new day.

Welcome to this precious new day.

Let's begin by extending a heart toward all the goodness of life.

So make yourself comfortable.

And then take a deep breath in filling up.

And exhale slowly,

Softly,

Letting any residual tension melt.

You might gently soften your gaze.

If you're in a beautiful spot,

There's no need to close your eyes.

You might rest your soft gaze upon something that delights you right now.

Breathing in,

Uplifting your heart,

Your spirit.

And as you exhale,

Beginning to extend that feeling,

That blessing outward into life.

Arriving.

Sometimes we forget when we first wake up that we are arriving in a miracle.

Every time we open our eyes first thing in the morning.

Every time we take our space again in the aliveness,

In the mystery,

The miracle.

We're receiving an invitation that's being extended to us all the time.

To fill up with so much goodness.

So now just breathing steadily at your own rhythm.

And whispering these words to yourself or just letting them land gently.

As I begin this precious day.

I appreciate my breath,

Steady and kind.

I am grateful for the gift of waking up to this new day.

What is the gift in that for you today?

Maybe it's waiting to reveal itself to you.

Thank you body for holding me,

For moving me through life.

I welcome the energy of this new morning.

You might touch your body in some way or bring your hands to your heart.

And now expanding this gratitude,

Naming some of the simple joys that make life feel luminous.

I give thanks for the light of the sun touching the world with warmth.

Take a big breath in.

Fill up.

Breathe out spaciously.

I am grateful for the sky,

Vast,

Open,

Infinite.

Thank you for the sound of birds.

The rustle of trees.

The quiet wisdom of nature.

The vibrancy of the earth's beauty.

I open my heart to the beauty of this day,

However it unfolds.

And now let's offer a blessing to others and to life.

You might feel your out-breath,

Particularly extending this blessing.

Or perhaps you can keep one hand on your heart,

But take the other one,

Reach it out,

Palm open.

Soft,

Soft hands.

May all beings feel love today.

May peace touch every heart.

May the earth be nourished.

May the waters run clear.

May life flourish.

May those who are struggling find ease.

May those who are lost find their way.

May joy rise up in unexpected places.

Now let's seal our practice together this morning.

Placing both your hands over your heart,

Or maybe one is over your belly.

What feels good and receptive and loving to you right now.

And feel the warmth there of your palms and your body receiving them.

In a sense that life is now infusing your body with all its benevolent,

Vibrant energies.

Filling you up,

Filling your whole vessel,

Your cup for the day.

And you can feel that coming through you,

Through the warmth of your palms and your body.

And perhaps you can feel yourselves quietly dancing.

Take a final deep breath in.

And exhale with presence and openness.

And whisper to yourself,

I am here.

I am part of this world.

I am grateful.

Whenever you're ready,

Take a big stretch,

Maybe a yawn.

Bring yourself back to the day about to unfold.

And take one intentional movement or step forward.

And I wish you a blessed day.
