Hello my friend,
I'm Alison and this is an invitation to befriend your nervous system.
It's a really powerful thing to do to move out of thinking of your own inner system,
Your inner body,
As your enemy.
To be friends with it is really going to help settle it and be in harmony so that you can listen to the wisdom it has for you and help collaborate with its healing,
Repairing,
Processing,
Wiring.
Already has.
So let's step inside there together.
Make yourself comfortable,
Begin wherever you are.
Absolutely nothing to change about that.
Just being with the intention of offering friendship to yourself and your system And certainly there's nothing right now to solve or fix.
To control or to get right.
There's no getting this wrong or right.
Just arrive.
Can you let yourself be here with yourself?
Actually feel good to have that space Maybe with your next inhalation you can take your shoulders right up to your ears and then as you exhale let them completely relax.
And then you can just simply feel your breath Entering.
And leaving.
Your body.
Coming and going.
Like waves on a shore.
You don't have to do anything.
You don't have to manage it.
Only feel it.
If that feels good.
Now gently invite your awareness to your body.
As if your body were calling to you.
And you're accepting that invitation moving toward and inside your own body and notice inside you where something is calling for your attention.
There'll be a sensation or charge.
Maybe you can sense a tightness.
In some place or places.
Where is their tightness?
Is there any warmth?
Anywhere in your body can you feel warmth.
Is that tingling?
What parts are tingling?
Stillness.
Are there any pools of stillness?
Just knowing that none of these means right or wrong.
The feeling sensations.
All bodies are meant to have feelings or sensations.
They don't need explaining.
There's nothing to explain.
Just feel.
Your nervous system isn't a machine to rewire.
It's a friend.
A rhythm.
A sensing.
It's a place of experiencing the way life is touching you now.
And it's your own It likes it when you tend to it this way.
Warmly and respectfully.
Letting it be.
And paying attention,
Listening.
Can you say hello to it?
Hello,
Breath.
Hello Heartbeat.
Hello Tension Hello calm.
Life force.
Saying hello.
Your precious energy and how it's expressing itself in you right now.
All the little ways.
Everything here belongs.
This whole inner landscape is you.
In this moment,
Alive.
Responsive.
Intelligence.
Perhaps you can take a moment to whisper inside yourself.
Thank you for protecting me.
Thank you for feeling.
I'm not here to control you.
I'm here to be friends with you.
Maybe even offering some gratitude now that you have a body and energy.
And a life that is unique to you,
That you have life.
That you are here.
That you are you.
That makes you very precious.
That you have life.
You are here.
EYU and you're not here to escape your body but to come home to it.
If there's any areas that feel a little sticky for you.
And parts of you haven't been accepting.
Maybe you could just be steady with yourself in this moment.
And compassionate toward those areas and kind You could offer your breath as a way of breathing into those spaces inside you.
And saying.
This is how it's feeling right now.
And it's okay to feel this.
Okay to feel this way.
And if it's okay to feel this.
And allow yourself to feel the sensations.
And what comes up as you feel the sensations Letting your breath massage everything.
Saying it's okay.
And if it feels right you might place a hand on your heart.
Or your belly.
Or somewhere else in your body that connects you to you.
And to your body and your inner body,
Your nervous system.
A gesture of friendship.
Of being with yourself.
Not racing behind.
Or head.
Coming home.
And as you rest here,
Feeling that contact under your hands Be with this knowing.
That you can be in harmony with your body.
And you are.
Right now,
That's what you're doing.
Without needing to change a thing.
And that your nervous system is not your enemy.
And you might say.
.
.
Might say that out loud.
My nervous system is not my enemy.
We belong to each other.
Were learning to trust each other.
How does that feel?
Maybe that anchor of trust.
And friendship.
Is more grounding for you or more steadying.
Gives you some relief or release.
You can stay here for just a few more breaths.
As you let this relationship continue to soften.
Softening your shoulders away from your ears softening your face.
Your jaw.
Your belly.
Softening your skin.
Letting the rhythm of life hold you here.
Holds you with love.
Hold you with support.
Holds you with honor.
When you're ready.
Can begin to gently open your eyes if they've been closed.
Feel yourself in your space and your environment again and take this friendliness,
This harmony with you.
Into the next moment.
And the next.
