Moving Gracefully Through Grief

As a Reiki practitioner, animal communicator and a human, I deal with people experiencing the loss of their pets on a weekly basis and I wanted to take this opportunity to share what I’ve learned about grief and how we can move gracefully through it. I offer you tools on how to comfort yourself during the grieving process, how the Earth can help ease your pain and how to move grief through and out of your body so you can heal from your loss. I also guide you through a heart chakra meditation that you can use as needed to soothe your aching heart.


Meet your Teacher

Alexandra is an animal communicator and Reiki practitioner for pets and people. Alexandra combines her Reiki practice with animal communication to help heal trauma, separation anxiety, behavioral issues, illnesses, and helps find lost pets. She also teaches Reiki and animal communication so others can heal themselves and re-learn the innate psychic gifts we all have.

Lesson 1

Feel It

There is no way to bypass feeling grief. You must face it head on by going "through it." In this lesson, I share some steps you can take to support yourself while in the midst of grieving. By taking these steps, you're honoring that which you're grieving and beginning the healing process.

Lesson 2

Get Help from Your Mother (Earth)

In this lesson, I offer you some ways the Earth can soothe and calm your aching heart. The Earth is your ally, in fact, she's your mother, and she wants nothing more than to help you.

Lesson 3

Hands On Heart Healing

In this lesson, I guide you through a hands on (your own hands) healing for your heart. We also will chant a short heart toning mantra. Throughout the meditation, I'm simultaneously sending you Reiki healing energy.

Lesson 4

Get Creative

I've found through many of my own experiences with grief, that using your creativity helps you work the grief through your body while also giving you a chance to honor the thing you're grieving. In this lesson, I offer you some suggestions on how you can get creative, too.

Lesson 5

Integration

In this last lesson, I give you some suggestions on how to slowly get back into your body, and into life. I also discuss some ways the Universe is supporting you and what to expect while on your healing journey through grief.

I’m giving you a great reading because you sound very authentic and caring. I’ve never tried herbs for grief. So you gave me a new learning to perhaps try it. I think for me mostly listening to you and journaling and dancing will help. And I remind myself that we lose someone it kind of builds on all the losses in the past. That’s not to say that it’s necessarily harder, but sometimes it feels really hard in the beginning.

This course has been helping me deal with the death of my young cat. The meditation in one lesson helped release some emotion for me and helped me grieve for my fur baby. The final lesson mentioned walking for healing which I know is a great way to help. I always feel better while and after taking a walk...just today I met a neighbor and we took a walk together sharing talk about our cats among other topics. We are headed into Spring now after a cold snowy winter which kept us mostly indoors...the more temperate, sunny days are beckoning us to enjoy nature...and get out there for beautiful walking meditation to heal our souls.
