Welcome.
This meditation is for the moments when you tell yourself you should be over it by now.
But you're not.
Maybe time has passed.
Maybe life has moved on.
Maybe others think you're fine.
And still,
Something inside you carries what happened.
For the next few minutes,
There is no where you need to be emotionally,
Except exactly where you are.
Take a slow breath in,
And a longer breath out.
Let your shoulders drop slightly.
Release the tension in your forehead,
If it's there.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Let it support your weight.
Another breath in,
And out.
There can be a quiet pressure to move on,
To be fine,
To be past it.
You might even say to yourself,
I should be over this by now.
But healing rarely follows a schedule.
Some experiences take longer to move through.
Some losses change us.
Some endings stay with us.
This doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.
You are allowed to still feel what you feel,
Even if time has passed,
Even if others don't see it anymore.
Your emotional world has its own rhythm,
Its own timing,
Its own intelligence.
Nothing inside you needs to be forced forward before it's ready.
Instead of asking,
Why am I not over this?
See if you can ask,
What inside me still needs care?
Not fixing,
Not rushing,
Just care.
Place a hand on your chest if that feels natural,
Or simply imagine a steady presence there.
Breathe in slowly.
Healing is not a straight line.
There are days when you feel strong,
And days when it all feels close again.
This is not failure.
This is being human.
What you carry will continue to change over time,
Even if that change is quiet,
Even if it's slow.
You are not behind.
You are in process.
Take one more steady breath in,
And a long breath out.
Notice that you allowed yourself to be exactly where you are,
And if what you're carrying ever feels too heavy to hold alone,
Reaching out for professional support can be a deeply kind step toward yourself.
For now,
Just stay here,
One breath at a time.
Healing moves in its own time.
