If you're feeling a lot of energy in your body right now,

Like you're revved up or restless,

Know that this is just your nervous system looking for a way to move.

You don't have to be still.

If it's available to you,

Start by standing up if you can,

Or sitting on the edge of your seat.

Give your hands a little shake,

As if you're flicking water off your fingertips.

Let that movement travel up to your wrists,

Then your elbows,

Then your shoulders.

Now let a gentle bounce enter your knees.

Just a soft,

Rhythmic pulsing.

Imagine the stress or the charge in your body is moving down from your head,

Through your torso,

And shaking out through your limbs.

If it feels right,

Let out a puff of air through your lips,

A quick HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH You're just allowing your body to finish its stress response.

Now slowly bring the movement to a halt.

Stand or sit still for a moment and notice the aftertingle in your skin.

Take one slow breath and feel the space you've just created.
