I'm going to guide you into a restful night's sleep by taking you on a relaxing train ride through the beautiful countryside.
So find your comfortable position now and make sure that you won't be disturbed so that you can get a restful night's sleep.
Getting as comfortable as you can and at any time along the way you need to reposition yourself to get an even more pleasant sleep.
You can do so.
Letting go of any tension that you've built up throughout the day.
Any worries or concerns seem to lose their power and intensity as you settle down for the night.
Feeling cosy and allowing your breath to begin to slow down with each breath you take.
Taking a nice full breath in and slowly exhale.
A nice full breath in and slowly exhale.
And once more in and allowing the breath to return to its normal pace.
Observing how perhaps visual moments of the day flash in your mind and allowing those images to begin to fade and bring into your imagination that you are walking towards a long train that is parked along the countryside.
The engine of the train is stopped at an old station in the middle of nowhere and the train is long and extends into the horizon.
You begin to walk to the train and notice an open carriage.
The steam is bellowing out of the engine and you step onto the train.
You hear the train horn blowing and the sounds of distant voices calling all aboard.
As you enter the carriage you see the most comfortable seat just for you.
The seat is positioned in a way that you are gazing out of the window into the nature.
You take the seat and you sit back and relax putting down any bags that you have getting comfortable in your seat.
The weather is perfectly mild and soothing and perhaps you can sense the smell of hay from outside and feel the countryside breeze through the window which is slightly ajar.
The temperature is just the way you like it.
You begin to feel the vibration of the train as it powers up and you can hear the engine hissing as it builds up enough power to pull the train.
The train begins to leave the station.
The carriage wheels begin to roll very slowly.
You take a deep breath in knowing you are in for a long and relaxing ride.
The vibrations under you begin to get stronger as the train is increasing in speed.
You hear the relaxing sounds of the wheels turning along the tracks.
You begin to pass by this small station in the middle of nowhere The vibrations under you are strong yet soothing and they even out into a relaxing hum as the train has reached a safe and steady speed for the long journey.
As you gaze outside it is still light but it will be sunset very soon.
You can see out of both sides of the carriage and you see the most beautiful views you have ever seen.
You watch the trees nearby passing by and in the distance there are some rolling mountains and the mountains are moving by ever so slowly.
You look out into this nature and really enjoy its beauty.
The sun is beginning to meet the horizon and as the sun begins to meet the horizon it begins to set behind a soft rolling mountain range in the distance.
The colours that this sunset begins to create for you are breathtaking.
The pinks and yellows of the sky fade into the bright blue and then into the deep blue of the night.
The gentle mountain range gives off hues of greens,
Blues and greys.
It is reflecting colours of purples mixed with oranges now as it dips below the mountains.
Meadows of warm golden colours are passing by the train and every now and then an old giant oak tree passes you by standing proudly in the fields of gold.
The view is mesmerising and you are not thinking about anything other than the beauty that you are witnessing.
You are getting more and more comfortable and ready for a restful night's sleep.
And the night sky is chasing away the sunset.
Your eyes are becoming very heavy with sleep as you watch the day turn into darkness.
The wide meadows have passed by and the train is entering a beautiful woodland.
The weather cools just a bit.
You can smell the trees.
This crisp moonlight peeking through the trees as they pass by.
The train is very soothing.
Your eyes are closed and occasionally you'll open them for a moment to gaze away.
As you drift and float on this dreamy train ride you hear yourself saying it restores and heals me.
It's my time to fully rest and rejuvenate.
A restful night's sleep is approaching.
I have done all that I need to do today.
I don't have anything to do but sleep.
Sleep comes over me naturally as I become more relaxed and sleepy.
This gives my body the time to heal.
I know how good this is for me right now.
My breath is steady and slow.
My breath carries me into a long night's sleep.
As I become sleepier and I allow my worries to drift away I embrace this rest as one of nature's natural healing medicines.
My body feels heavy and calm.
I release all my thoughts from the day.
My beautiful bed and the pillow that supports me.
And full of peace.
I know the words I say and the things I think come into action.
I sleep so soundly that my body and mind are completely refreshed.
Now just drift and float.
Not thinking of anything in particular.
Just let things come and go as things always do.
Is encompassing you now.
Train is taking you along for the ride.
Allowing my voice to fade away.
Just as the sleepy train rolls along through the wilderness.
