If anxiety, stress, overwhelm, ADHD, racing thoughts, Sleep apnea, or insomnia are keeping you awake, this Root Chakra sleep meditation is a gentle way to settle. You’ll be guided through a slow body scan and grounding imagery to support deep sleep, soothe the nervous system, and bring you back to a feeling of safety in the body. This practice focuses on the root chakra (your sense of stability and security), using a calming garden visualisation and the image of a red rose softly opening—helping you release fear & stress. When to listen: - Bedtime (to help you fall asleep) - Middle-of-the-night wake-ups (insomnia reset) - Stress / overwhelm moments (grounding pause) Music credit: Matt Moore Zzyzx: 2hz delta music.

And find in the position that works for you with your eyes closed or if you prefer a gaze to a fixed point.

Awareness to my voice and knowing that your mind may wander as minds tend to do.

And when your mind wanders bring the awareness back to my words or to your breath.

Becoming aware of your head,

Your forehead,

Eyes,

Cheeks,

Jaw,

And tongue.

Take a deep conscious breath in and as you breathe out relaxing down your shoulders away from the ears,

The upper arms,

Elbows,

Lower arms,

Hands,

Fingers,

And thumbs.

Take a breath in and as you breathe out relaxing all the muscles of the upper,

Middle,

And lower back.

Softening the chest,

Ribs,

Belly,

All muscles surrendering of the upper legs,

Lower legs,

Feet.

Breathe in and using the power of your mind now imagine or just know that you are in a serene garden.

You are surrounded by nature's beauty.

Breathing in and breathing out.

You notice a gentle breeze upon your face.

The temperature is just right for you and perhaps there's a golden sun in the sky shining its light and warmth upon you.

It's the most beautiful day and you hear the sounds of birds tweeting.

As they flutter from tree to tree.

You feel the solid ground beneath your feet and you feel supported,

Protected,

And safe here.

As you connect with the earth beneath you,

You become aware of the gentle energy rising up from the ground enveloping you like a warm embrace.

You gaze around the beauty of the garden and the beautiful flowers,

The tall trees.

You feel at peace here.

You notice a pathway.

You begin to follow it.

A path is leading you towards a red rose.

You admire the rose bushes and then take a seat on the wooden chair.

As you take a seat,

You feel as though any weight you've been carrying on your shoulders releases.

You notice a small red rosebud which is beginning to unfurl its petals.

And this rose symbolizes your root chakra.

This is the foundation of your being and is often represented by the color red.

The root chakra located at the base of the spine is responsible for your sense of safety,

Security,

And connection to the physical world.

As you focus on the red rosebud,

You feel a deep sense of grounding washing over you,

Anchoring you to the present moment.

The petals of the roses begin to open petal by petal.

And beginning to reveal its inner beauty.

As the rose begins to fully bloom,

You feel the energy of the air infusing the rose.

As it does,

It strengthens your root chakra.

And bringing it into perfect balance.

As you bask in the radiant energy of the rose,

Allow yourself to release any fears,

Any insecurities that might be weighing you down.

The earth is always there for you,

Protecting you,

Grounding you.

And breath in.

And breath in.

Enjoying the feeling that the earth is giving you.

And releasing anything that no longer serves you.

With every breath,

Out.
