Today, we continue the 5-day beginner’s meditation series, building on the foundations of mindfulness and exploring awareness with gentle curiosity. Today’s session encourages you to acknowledge each thought without judgment. Meditation isn’t about shutting off the mind, but rather being present and accepting, which can feel like a relief for beginners. As you practice regularly, you’ll discover how each breath calms racing thoughts, bringing moments of peace. You don’t need to silence your mind; simply let thoughts pass by, like clouds in the sky. Take a comfortable seat, allow yourself to relax, and embrace this practice as a chance to be here, now. Music by Music of Wisdom: The Cycle of Life.

Day 2 Beginner's Meditation Finding yourself a position of comfort and ease,

Whether that be sitting,

Lying or even standing.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Allow your eyes to close.

And if this feels uncomfortable for you,

Taking your gaze to a fixed point instead.

And know that meditation isn't about completely silencing your mind.

It's about being aware and letting go.

Being aware of this moment.

Being aware of how you feel.

Acknowledging the thoughts coming and going.

The thoughts arising,

And when they arise,

Just take a breath in and out,

And let them go.

And breath in,

And breath out.

Let them go.

And you might say,

Well,

How do I just let go of those thoughts?

They're still there,

More popping up.

And that's what happens.

You repeat the process again.

Breath in,

Breath out.

Ready for the next thought.

And within practice of this,

Of letting go,

You might find a moment of stillness.

To find that moment of stillness,

You need to practice consistently.

So,

I'll see you tomorrow for day three.

This is Sandhya.

Take care.
