Good morning beautiful soul.
As the days grow shorter and the mornings darker take this as your quiet invitation to meet the light just as it is.
There's no need to rush into the day,
You can just let it unfold like a slow rising sun.
So find somewhere comfortable and maybe a blanket around your shoulders,
A cup of tea or coffee cooling nearby and when you're ready gently close your eyes.
Take a deep easy breath in through your nose and let it slowly out through your mouth.
Let your breath find its rhythm like waves arriving on a calm shore.
Each breath softening you,
Each exhale helping you land more fully into this morning.
Notice the warmth of your body and the stillness of the morning.
You are safe,
You are here,
You are beginning a brand new day.
Bring your attention to your feet and notice the connection to the ground beneath you.
Perhaps it is warm from your socks or slippers or simply the awareness of being held gently by the earth herself.
Now let that feeling rise up through your legs,
Through your hips,
Your spine and your shoulders.
With every breath you're waking up the body gently with kindness and not effort.
Now imagine a soft winter light appearing in the distance,
A pale gold or a gentle pink just beyond the horizon.
It begins to spill across the land touching rooftops,
Trees and windows with quiet gentle warmth.
The light reaches you now perhaps through your window or through the imagination behind your closed eyes.
Feel it resting on your face and warming your heart,
Reminding you that the light always returns even on these shorter days.
As this light spreads through you,
Repeat softly in your mind or even out loud if you wish.
I welcome this new day with warmth.
Today,
I am steady,
Present and open to gentle joy in my life.
The light in me is constant even when these days grow shorter.
Now just let those words settle in you for a bit like seeds waiting under winter soil,
Knowing their time to grow will come again in the spring.
Now think of one small thing that you're grateful for on this morning.
It doesn't have to be a huge grand thing,
Maybe it's a smell of your coffee waiting for you,
The sound of a bird outside or simply the quiet of the morning itself.
Let that gratitude spread gently through you,
Warming your chest and softening your shoulders.
And if you like,
Set an intention for today,
Something kind and something light.
Perhaps I will move gently today or I will notice beauty even in the small things.
Now take one more deep,
Slow breath in and exhale fully.
When you feel ready,
Begin to open your eyes and notice the light of the morning that's here now,
Whatever form it takes.
Maybe it's soft and silver,
Maybe it's cloudy or bright,
All of it is part of this beautiful winter day.
And remember the light outside mirrors the light within you,
Carry it gently into your day ahead.
I'm so grateful that you joined me this morning.
I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.
Go in peace.
Namaste.
